  1. Sailed 9 Carnival ships and Sunshine is our favorite. However, with that being said, no one on this board knows me or anything about my likes or dislikes.

I read the reviews because they entertain me. Again, because I know no one on this board....I would never....I mean never...good, bad or ugly....let anyone's review that I don't know influence a cruise I choose to book !!!

  2. We are taking our garandson, who turns 5 on the first day of the cruise, with us on our May 9 cruise. My question is...what time does the camp open on broading day. We want to make sure he's registered. He's one excited little guy!!! :D

    Thanks for your help!

  3. I'm following a review on the Carnival page about a VIFP cruiser who has sewage all over her bathroom, and they won't move her. They are only supplying her with air freshener. She is sleeping on the Lido deck.

Where is this page? What's the tittle? I can't seem to find it? Please advise!

  4. Was booked on the Liberty but when it was announced that the Liberty would switch ports with the Valor, I switched to the Sunshine. I switched because the Valor does not have the 2.0 upgrades.

If I were you, I would go to Youtube and watch as many videos of both ships as you please to help make your decision.

I been on 14 cruises of which 10 have been on Carnival. I love CC mostly because it's fun to read. However, I would never....I mean never let anyone, who I know nothing about, opinion influence which cruise line or ship I sail on!!!

  5. Thanks guys! Been on 14 Carnival cruises but was a "little" down when learned that the Valor with no 2.0 was replacing the Liberty for our April 2015 cruise. Been on a ship with most of the 2.0 and you guys are right! You can still get a burger and Mexican food and a cold beer is still a cold beer no matter what the name of the bar is! Thanks again!

  6. Just curious on the logic of it being 100% downgrade (the non-2.0 ship). Listen I know there is emotion involved in having cruise plans uprooted. 100% downgrade?

Update.....after thinking about it and putting emotions aside, we are going to keep our reservations and sail the Valor! This will be our 14 carnival cruise and I will admit to over reacting! April 25......Valor here we come!!!!

  7. Was scheduled for a 8 day leaving 4/27/15 on the Liberty. The Valor, if you have cruised on a ship with 2.0 upgrades, is a 100% downgrade at the same price as the Liberty. Just talked to my DS and BIL who is sailing with the bride and I. They said anything I wanted to change to they were ok with. With all that being said, we will be changing to the Sunshine's 7 day cruise leaving PC on 5/2/15!

  8. Getting ready to book a fall cruise. Would like to take our 4 year old grandson. DW is concern he may be a little young yet.

If any of you have cruised with a young child.....would you please give us some advise as to your experience. Also...was Camp Carnival ok and did the youngster enjoy?

Thanks in advance as I told the bride we both would read your responses.

  9. My wife and I are Platinum. However...we have never sailed (children much older when we started cruising) with small children. I'm about to book our next cruise to include our DD, SIL and 4 year old VERY special grandson. My question is....is a 4 year old charged full price?

Thanks for and help you can provide!

  10. On the Dream they stick by the 15 limit. The only day I reach 15, we were at the casino bar. I ordered a beer when the lady behind the bar came running over and said "sir...sir you reach your 15 drink limit and I need you to give me back the beer"! I had drink almost 1/2 of it. The poor girl looked like she was scared to death...like maybe she could lose her job. I felt bad for her so I gave her the beer and said no problem. I took my wife's sign and sail (she only had around 3 drinks that day), walk up to the young lady and said I would like to order a Mick Ultra. She said......no problem!!! :D

Met several people who said they were cut off at 15 and couldn't order no matter if they paid full price.

With the bride being close to a non drinker and me only hitting 15 once, it still was a little better $$$ wise buying the cheers deal. :p
