Keep checking Hilton is taking reservations out to April 6, 2019 currently. My suggestion would be the Gallaria One Doubletree or Hilton FL Beach Resort.

$179 per year for 19 airports? I guess if you fly a lot from one of those airports it's worth it. I think my TSA Pre-Check is a better buy and I don't wait much for screening with it.

You might have a problem streaming Netflix. I would download a bunch of shows they might like to your device.

Way I read it not much benefit to us normal travelers. Stuff still goes in a bin and you gotta wait for it to come out. More of a benefit for TSA workers who don't have to collect and move bins around.
I looked at CLEAR and it's expensive and not at many airports.

I heard her interview on FOX NEWS today and you can't blame the cruise lines or the cops. She should have checked the restrictions prior to sailing, which she claims she didn't. But, she did get a note from her MD saying it was OK to travel. HOWEVER, she forgot it and left it at home. Bottom line she should have said she was 23 weeks and nobody would have cared or she should have read the rules and not gone.
She admits her Dad raised his voice to the check in desk people. Not sure exactly why they called the Sheriff, but desk people felt they needed to. Yes, the optics of assault rifle totting cops doesn't look good, but that's their equipment and they aren't taking it off unless there is a secure place to store it.
Sorry this is a non-issue.

You certainly do not need a note at 8-9 weeks. Who would know unless you told them?
That was my thought, also.

We are buying a condo at Rosarito and just discovered the Valle de Guadalupe wine country and spent a few hours at Santo Tomas last year. The venue is beyond anything we have done in the Napa Valley and the wine was very good, not excellent, but still very good. It probably needed to lay down for a few months.
Being down there we found Baja Test Kitchen that does foodie tours along northern Baja. Check out their www site as they will pick you up at the port and take you on an all day wine and foodie tour. They also pick up in San Diego and take you down. Actually, they have you walk across and pick you up on the Mexico side, which is actually a good idea to avoid the hours long back up going north.

That's always a good plan, except in LA it's always best to be flexible. Also your rental car might have a FastTrak pass linked to the license plate. This will allow you to use the express or toll lanes, but you will pay a price later for it. There are a couple of toll roads in Orange County, but I don't use them enough to comment in detail. The few times I have used them between Irvine and down to San Diego there was no traffic even during peak hours.

My suggestion, take the commuter ferry one morning over to Larkspur and then arrange for pick up there. First, you get a cheap bay cruise and second you miss the traffic getting out of the City. Then do the same in the reverse.

G Street Deli has a fair selection along with most anything else you might need, include great sandwiches. It's very close to the cruise port and prices are fair. It's on the backside of the Embassy Suites, which you will clearly see across the street from the cruise port. Deli is sort of hidden in the middle of the block. Check google maps. Much cheaper than anything in Seaport Village and closer than Ralph's. You can catch a pedi-cab from the port over, just be sure to agree on a price before hand. The pedi-cabs have a habit of jacking up the prices on route.

Don't volunteer anything, unless they ask, with so many extended families I doubt the check in agent will even ask.
-
I hope they didn't charge you for that night before!
Yes they did.
This was before Hilton started doing electronic check in where you could pick your room the day prior and download a digital key to your smart phone, which if I was doing this again I would certainly do.

I have used Hertz and Budget. It's tied to the license plate. There will be a decal on the inside of the windshield that will tell you which toll systems are applicable. They charge a $20 processing fee +tolls. So if you use it once it's $20 plus. After that it's just the tolls. It's billed via a third party so you won't get that bill until days or weeks later. It's all spelled out on their www sites.

Take the ferry over to Coronado. If you want to go to the Del it's a pretty good walk up a slight incline, but do able. La Jolla you can get close via the Coaster or Amtrak. Check out their www sites. A fun way to spend a few hours in the Gas Lamp is do the "Brothels, Bites and Booze" walking tour. The main zoo is fun. But we just did the Zoo Safari Park and it was was awesome. However, it's pretty far and I am not sure there's an easy way to get there without a car. If you are going during summer the Hornblower cruises does a "Happy Hour" bay cruise that's really fun.

I don't think so!! Takes you way out of the way.

Our FCC had to be used by the named person only toward final payment (no deposit) and had to be redeemed within one year of when we received it. Our's were due to a canceled cruise, by us, and I had four of them for kids and grandkids that had to be used by them.

The cheapest prices they advertise are at dates and times you probably wouldn't want to go. I looked at those "specials" for our Oasis last October and it wasn't worth it.

St. Martins asked us.

Just make sure they know you aren't coming in until 0430 hrs. I once booked the Embassy Suites and called them three times to make sure they knew we weren't checking in until 0600 hrs the day after our RSVP. Guess what? We get there at 0700 hrs and "NO ROOM" We had to wait until 11:00 AM and take a smoker's room. We didn't sail that day but the next so were at least able to get a nap and feel half way decent.

www.limos.com is another option
We have used them several times and it's a great way to price shop. I think we ended up with ACE once and other a couple of times.

We have stayed at G1 three times and really like it. We did one of the large rooms with kitchen and separate bedrooms. They are huge. Really nice places to eat just across the street at the mall. I saw a large crowd waiting for the shuttle, but we had booked a car service.

I used it in San Francisco last year and the savings wasn't worth it. Wouldn't do it again.

all freeways will have traffic some more than others.
Plus, if somebody decides to jump off the freeway overpass any route will become a parking lot. Trust me I was there when somebody wanted to do that on the 101. Luckily I was tracking with CHP and GPS so was able to jump off the freeway and get around it on some surface streets. Some were stuck for hours.

That's the good thing about being a Hilton Honor member all bookings are refundable at most up to 72 hours prior with most 24 hours prior. I book hotels way early all the time and then track the price or cancel if I decide not to go. Some will charge me one night upfront, but are still refundable. I do the same with Hertz.
