  1. Thank you for your postings. We are following with interest your entries. Regarding Bali...was your car and driver booked through Bali Sun Tours? Did you go to Ubud ? Given the traffic issues you encountered what window would you create for return to the ship prior to departure? Our ship leaves at 8 pm.

We look forward to your ongoing commentary.

  2. We are saiilng for the first time on the Pacific Princess in November. We still have work commitments that we need to follow closely and wondered if anyone had any feedback on the internet speed and availability on this smaller ship with less passengers. We have read recent threads on the frustration of trying to use the internet on most Princess ships and are weighing whether to pre purchase a package or look for internet sites in port. We will be in the Mediterranean.

    Thank you in advance

  3. We booked the same obstructed view balcony guarantee for our late fall med cruise on Pacific Princess.

Our TA was able to request a queen configuration, just ask your TA to make the request, or if you booked directly you can do it in your Personalizer.

Thank you. Have you ever had this category on a previous cruise? We have made the request as you suggested

  4. We have a BY guarantee on the Pacific Princess for an upcoming late fall Mediterranean cruise. We have only sailed the Ruby and Crown on previous cruises and are not familiar with the Pacific. . The bed configuration in this category seems to be two singles although we have requested a queen. Any experience or feedback on this category would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

  5. What are the options for passengers embarking on the 11th in Rome, knowing that this issue is present and has been for days now? I am not talking about the diligent measures to curtail the spread of the virus....very well documented on this forum. Has anyone ever decided to bail in this situation rather than take on the risk and did you lose everything given the proximity to embarkation?

  6. We arrive in Bangkok on the Nautica March 2017 for an overnight prior to disembarkation. Does anyone know if there is a shuttle provided from Khlong Toey port to Bangkok city? We are hoping to do some sight seeing on our own but after reading a few threads we are concerned about getting from port to where we could access transit. Any information would be appreciated as we pkan to disembark and stay three extra days in Bangkok

  7. On Jan 15-25 cruise, you did indeed have to leave room by 9am but if air was booked by Oceania, you could leave luggage outside room by 10 pm the night before (ours was a little late but was still taken) and reclaim whenever you arrived at the airport. We did this and took backpacks and rented a car for the day to do circular road around the island. We enjoyed this more than we would have enjoyed sitting around a hotel, pool,or beach but the fact is there are several choices. Some options are cheaper, some less so but all are good. We liked not having to cram the luggage in the small rental car and kudos to Oceania for that option. I would not have minded staying on the ship if there were not rentals available but since that only killed time until 4, rental was a better option. Tahiti away from Papeete (also not nearly as awful as what I read here) was a different island and very pretty and absolutely worth a look. Try it, you might like it!

We are planning on the car rental option next month when we disembark in Papeete as our flight dies not leave until 9 pm or so. Who did you rent with? Any suggestions from your experience? What time did you pick up the car and how long did you spend touring outside the port ?

I hope Oceania offers the luggage option again

    Thank you

  8. It must feel good to have a cabin assignment. We also have a gty deluxe ocean view and have not seen any indication our cabin has been firmed up. A GTY was all they could offer at time we booked. We have never had this before. How did you find out your cabin was assigned?

Checked our profile online but it still dies not say anything.

The cruise is quickly approaching and it will be welcomed with the winter weather we have had to date

  9. We disembark the Marina on the 26 th of March and fly home that night at 9 pm.

We were contemplating a car rental with idea circumnavigating the island to pass the day. After reading the posts,we are now debating this option.how long does it take to drive around?

Apparently, according to another thread we will have the option of staying on the ship until 5 pm.The cabin of course would have to be vacated but we could relax in public areas, read etc

If you stay on board are you permitted an on/ off option to look around the town?

Please provide any feedback or experience to help with the decision

    Thank you
