On ships with the Havana bar, you can also pick up your specialty coffees there! They are not free, though.

oooohhh - they may have a shorter line too!!

No, the fresh squeezed juices are not included in any package that I know of.

Here's a link to the package details. Interestingly, cranberry juice is included in the package whereas it's not on the breakfast menu.

So - if you don't have cheers, or bottomless bubbles, I'm guessing there's an upcharge if you order Cranberry Juice at breakfast?  (I just want to be prepared!)

Java Blue is offers pay coffee starting sometime around 6:00 AM.  I’m a coffee “snob” so I prefer their coffee to Lido and room service.  I take my own coffee thermal cup so as not to drink out of a cardboard cup.  They have a punch card, buy 6 get 1 free.  Their coffee is also included in Cheers.

So are the espresso / latte drinks included on the punch card?  Do you buy the punch card, or, do they offer it to you on your first purchase?  Thank you!

I posted a review of my cruise on the Celebration. First off I hope and expect to sail her again this September. I'm very objective and point out the positive and needs improvement facts with humor.

Now to my thread. Surprisingly, I haven't seen any reviews on the Celebration Midnight Buffet. Not to be a Karen or Morris the finiky cat... But, though I'm glad its back the food barely cracks 2 stars. The midnight "barffet chow" smells awful. Like a K Mart Cafeteria. This dining option brought my review of the Celebration down one star. The pizza looked like it was frozen instead of Miami Slice. The chicken tenders looked and smelled awful. My fellow cruisers...please share your feedback. The main buffet and MDR food were a solid four stars. I'm hoping the Midnight Buffet food becomes the cuisine across the board. Carnival don't even think about it. 🙂 My cat's reaction to my reaction of the Midnight "Barffet!"

Hi - You mentioned you posted a review of your cruise on the Celebration - can you link if for me?  I'd like to read it please!  Thank you!!

Thanks for link with prices. I just booked the WIFI for my 2023 cruises, decided to try the Value plan instead of Premium as the hubby and I both get it and he doesn’t like to share, lol! I’m not sure we need premium anyway as we don’t stream movies and won’t need to FaceTime. I see the Dr Seuss prices are up too, double for the adults at $10 and up over 50% for kids at $8. No big deal and  and I am sure it will be worth it for our grandson’s first cruise.

    LaRue -

I've been trying to figure out - On the Carnival site, I had already purchased the Wi-Fi for my husband.  When I try to add myself to the cart, a message comes up saying that "only one device can be connected at a time".  So I figured why bother getting it for myself if only one of us can connect at a time?  So if we both get the package, are we both in fact able to be on a device at the same time?  - Thank you!

Am I reading this right that you’re wanting 14 people at the Teppanyaki ?  I want to say the tables are 10 people. I would recommend JiJi’s instead. At least on Panorama there was one big table in JiJis one night.

I was under the impression that there was availability for 16 guests.  I'll check out JiJi's - thank you!

  7. Hi everyone!

I'm trying to plan a birthday luncheon aboard the Carnival Horizon in the Bonsai Teppanyaki Specialty Dining Room.  We have a party of 14, and from everything I've read, they only seat 16 guests.  I booked my cruise through a travel agent, and she indicated that they do not allow her to book our speciality dining reservation.  I tried to do it online, and it only lets me reserve for 12 people (no matter what day or time I select).  I have emailed the steakhouse (per instruction of my travel agent), and they responded by telling me to email the esolutions support team.  I am not getting a response from them, as I am sure they are inundated with messages regarding cancellations at this time.  I have also emailed Bonsai Teppanyaki directly, also with no response.  Does anyone have any knowledge if you can cancel a specialty dining reservation once you're on board?  If I am unable to book the final 2 guests on board, I need to cancel the 12 reservations I was allowed to make online.  Thank you in advance for any guidance that anyone can offer me!!

  8. My upsell offer was $1160 to go from a balcony (for 2) on the 9th floor to a suite on the 7th floor.  I declined.  Our offer came 8 months before sailing - Our daughter was given the same offer, but hers was $1600 since they have a cabin for 3.  She declined as well.  My son and his wife were offered an upgrade from an interior room on the 9th deck to an outside cabin on the 2nd deck for $350 - also declined - This is my 6th cruise on Carnival, and the first time I've been offered an upgrade.

I just got off of harmony and have been on Allure twice. Harmony would be my choice without a doubt. Harmony is now my fav RCCL ship. Best balcony cabin I’ve ever had. Excellent storage and cabin layout. It felt the least cramped of any balcony cabin I’ve ever had. The shower was by far the nicest I’ve ever experienced on any ship. The Harmony dining room dinner food was the best I’ve ever experienced. Food was always hot and very good. We also experienced excellent service in the dining room but that was the luck of the draw to get two excellent waiters. The ice show was excellent as was the water show. We did get to see the debut of their new water show.

Agree with everything you just said!  We just experienced the best food and servers ever on the Harmony (The Grande) main dining room!

    Deck 14

On the Harmony of the Seas, cabins on Deck 14 may have noise issues because the Lido pool area is above many staterooms. That said, we do not in any way suggest that Deck 14 is not a great place to pick a cabin because parents of small children might love this deck!

    • Exterior cabins 14138-14166 port side and 14538-14562 starboard are across the hall from youth activities areas, which include the nursery on Deck 14 of the Harmony of the Seas. These would be fine staterooms for small families.
    • There are several wheelchair accessible cabins on Deck 14. These include exterior cabins 14162, 14166, 14170, and 14172. Boardwalk View Staterooms with Balconies 14295, 14299, 14301, and14305 are wheelchair accessible. Central Park View Staterooms with Balconies 14251, 14253, 14651, and 14653 are also wheelchair accessible.
    • Noise sensitive travelers may want to steer clear of exterior and interior cabins14174-14254 port side and 14574-14654 starboard because these are under the pool area, and there could be after hours noises such as the scraping of deck chairs when staff are cleaning.
    • Deck 14 is under some of the liveliest venues on this ship. You may want to consider an inside cabin elsewhere on another deck of the Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas.

  11. When we were on Carnival one time, and they have the policy of "one buys it, everybody gets it" - We asked about only my husband buying it, and they said if I could get a note from my doctor faxed in, that they would just let one person in the cabin purchase the drink package - Of course, I was already on board, and the doctor's office was not open on the weekend - so I didn't have any luck - but - it may be worth a try to get a statement from your doctor, and try to get prior approval from Royal that way?

  12. This is good news that you were successful the day before. Can you share with us what time you accessed the .gov site? Was it at 7:00 a.m. or later in the day? Thank you, Cherie

    Hi Cherie -

No, it was later in the day actually - it was around mid-afternoon, 2 or 3 o'clock or so...

    Good Luck!!

  13. Like you, I had no luck getting the advance tickets to Pearl Harbor online. But, I went on recreation.gov the day before I wanted to visit, and I had 3 different time options. So, if you have internet on the day before you want to visit - try that! Then, if that doesn't work, like others have said, be there at 7:00 a.m. the day you want to visit.
