Once you get on the ship, you can do it. You just book them as you’d like, and then when you check in at the restaurant, you tell them you have UDP.
Great. Thanks.

During lunch, we booked some of our other food stops for the trip using the app, rather than standing on a long line at one of the restaurants to do so.
I didn't know you could book the restaurants for the UDP on the app. Don't they treat it as a stand alone booking and charge you?

Wrong cruise line so not relevant here.
Oops!
I have both lines booked, so I'm flipping between the forums. My bad.
Still, I'm pleasantly surprised to learn of the change on Celebrity. I don't supopose Royal are likely to follow suit. 😞

No the current policy is. 2 per adult, max 4 per cabin on embarkation.
From the Royal Caribbean website:
"On embarkation day, each guest of drinking age may bring one (1) sealed 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne. Boxed wine and other containers are prohibited."

I haven't found any useful information that explains how ordering at Wonderland works, apart from having to paint your menu.
I assume that they don't simply bring everything on the menu, but otherwise, I get the feeling that the variety of courses depends on the number of people on the table, and that some dishes are shared.
Can anyone tell me what two people would realistically be offered?
This is for Anthem, if that makes any difference.

Thanks to all for your prompt replies.

On our upcoming Anthem Cruise, we have the unlimited dining package.
We have a courtesy reservation for dinner on the first day, but don't know where. I do know that once aboard, we have to go to a specialty restaurant to book the rest of our meals.
My question is this. Jamie's Italian is open for lunch on boarding day. Can we go there and have lunch without a prior reservation? Would this covered by the dining package?

We were on the ship last week, got off in Athens.
Our bags too were removed from the carousel. It's just a shame they didn't tell us they had done it and left us waiting anxiously further down the belt.

Viking was at baggage claim to greet 8-10 people and they already had our bags off the carousel.

You will probably pass the pre cruise PCR test, Viking are the people to ask about documentation. Can you get one of the postal tests to document you've got it, or get to an airport test site (if there are still any there) As long as you can submit it in the next few days it doesn't matter too much when you get the result.
Wondering if a self cert via test and trace QR code antigen will do, as it is on an official platform. Perhaps enter one on the system and see what documents get regurgitated
Thanks,
I don't want to visit an airport while I'm still infectious.
Given the current spike in cases, I'm surprised that there isn't more information front and central on Viking's website. The clause about requiring a private positive PCR test result taken while I still have Covid was buried several pages deep.
Has anyone actually gone through this scenario?
-
My pre-departure checklist states:
"If you have recovered from a previous COVID-19 infection, ensure you carry documentation of
recovery or a positive PCR test result from the time of infection"I live in the UK and currently have Covid-19. My cruise departs in 44 days.
Can anyone tell me what "documentation of recovery" means and whether or not an NHS PCR test result is accepted? It isn't for the 72 hours before departure test, but my options for getting a third party test right now are limited.
-
Not a good first impression! Dinner reservations for my first cruise with Viking just opened up this morning, and the only time available for specialty restaurants is 9:00pm on day one, when, due to the arrival time of our Viking booked flights, we will be sitting in our stateroom waiting for the results of our Covid tests.
I'm not too worried, as hopefully we'll be able to book tables on board, but, come on Viking! There should be at least one slot available that we can physically make! It doesn't show a very high regard for your guests.

Wherever you see the Northern Lights, if you want the sort of images you see on TV you'll need a good camera and preferably a tripod. Exposure times can be around 10 seconds.

On the 21st August sailing of Silhouette, in Aqua. I was amazed to see REAL butter (and a good selection of bread) served in Blu, instead of the whipped stuff. Not all changes are bad.

Can anyone confirm whether the port used for Inverness is actually Inverness or Invergordon?
Looks more likely to be Invergordon for Sihouette, but itinerary says Inverness!
Thanks!
X are geographically challenged. On some cruises the itinerary says London when the ship docks in Southampton. Worryingly, after Costa Concordia, ships no longer use paper charts.

OK, progress of sorts.
No joy with using AOL or YAHOO accounts. We had to create a new email account, GMAIL worked.
Our next problem was that one of the earlier "helpers" changed the Trustone account password, and sent it to our AOL account, which we couldn't read. The solution to that was to send another new password, this time to the GMAIL account.
Now we can log in and change the password to something easier to remember.
Let's hope that's the end of it.

One problem we have is that when I told Eurofins that the emails weren't getting through, they changed the account password and "sent" the new one to the AOL account, so now we're locked out of the app too.
-
I've just discovered that Eurofins can't send emails to anyone with an AOL or YAHOO email account.
We discovered this when my PCR test appointment details came through, but my wife's, who has an AOL account, didn't.
I'm trying, without success so far, to find a work around with them, using a different email address.
All I can suggest at the moment, if you're waiting to hear from them, is to call them.

Strange!
The Tracelet requirement is still there as far as I can see. This was at 10:33pm:
"Guests aged 2 years and over must wear a Tracelet at all times. Guests will be issued with their Tracelet during the check-in process at the terminal."
-
I just had an interesting email from Manchester Airport to say that they now offer quick turnaround RT PCR tests. It might be of interest to people travelling from the north of the UK. Reasonable prices too.

You need to scan your passport to check in.

I have just sent an email to my agent and hope for the same. Was it in the form of OBC. I am hoping for 10% too 😁
I haven't made final payment yet, so it was in the form of an adjustment to the amount owing.

Thanks for the link. After a call to Celebrity (OK I had to wait for 20 minutes) I got my 10% reduction with no problem.

The Concierge lunch chicken was the worst meal I've ever been served on Celebrity, dry chicken and cold fries. Not worth paying extra for, IMO.
