  1. Advice please. We booked our flights through Princess for our cruise, we fly out the same day from the U.K. to join our cruise in Rome , now what happens if our flight is cancelled, who do we call or will Princess call us and arrange flights so we can get to the ship in time. We fly out this Saturday on 07.00 time . Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

This makes no sense to me as Italy as dropped their requirements (I am embarking in Italy).

I can see 2-3 days but 1 day is unreasonable. I have to leave for the airport at 4 am. I purposely am flying in the day of thinking the testing requirements would be 2-3 days before. Even the rep on the phone said it would be 2-3 days to give people time to travel.

Not totally sure but I think this is to do with Princess and maybe not Italy ! Maybe someone else might know more . We are flying in day of cruise from the U.K. so are being tested the day before .

PCR or Antigen 2 days prior to sailing is required by Princess for all passengers including overseas passengers. When US finally provide date for opening up to UK and European visitors I'll guess we'll find out then if any further tests are mandatory for entry.

Yes emerald6273 , we are waiting for any news in the very near future. Triona

Also check with your hotel, they may know.  Check CVS and Walgreens

wensite and put in your hotels zip code.

to get the closest site and it says if it’s a drive through or not.

Maybe someone in SFO can help on this

    board?

Thank you PacnGoNow , I will definitely be looking into this .

Well My iPad updated the app overnight, thought great Everything sorted now! No such luck, opened up app asked me to log in to access either using email or booking number. Tried both but just whirled around and around, still can’t get anywhere. I”ll give it another go later I think as perhaps as it’s 08.03 in U.K. perhaps still asleep!

Same thing happening to me. Everything was going good , no problems at all until today . I will try later .

We have never used cruise line flights in the past but we are thinking of booking a one way flight following a Transatlantic cruise. Fare is very good. Any drawbacks that anyone can advise on.? Thanks

We are looking at doing the same for our April 2022 cruise round trip . It's our first time with Princess so we will be looking into this. Thanks for any advice.

  8. May I please ask, we had our April 2019 cruise cancelled and received FCC .. I used the FCC for our November 2021 on Discovery cruise, which I have just found out that this is now cancelled, what I would like to know is if I book another cruise will I be able to the FCC . Thanks for any help ..

  9. I don't really want to ask as our cruise is not until 2020. What I wanted to know is what time will we have to leave the ship ( Grand Princess ) Dose it depend on cabin status or flight time back to the UK . As our flight is not until late afternoon we were thinking of taking our time in SF .  Thanks in advance for help.

You can use the shuttle service (south bay is one of them) and they ask how many in party, etc.  I would think you qualify for your own shuttle.   Same thing from ship to airport.  They have shuttles there you can utlize.  four adults with 7 suitcases should not be a problem??

Thank you for your advice. Also I would like to sort something out when we leave the ship at the end of our holiday, as we don't fly back to the UK until early evening and don't want to drag cases around with us. Is there somewhere we can leave them.

  11. Hope I can get some help please. We are party of 4 adults flying into SFO 18th March and staying for 4 days before boarding Grand Princess, we need a transfer from airport to our hotel. As we will prob have around 7 suitcases between us we will be needing larger transfer/minibus also transfer from ship to airport at the end of our cruise. Can anyone maybe recommend a company that they  have used in the past please. Many Thanks Sharon

  14. Very excited to have been offered an upgrade for our cruise in January. Looking through various internet sites on the 'extras' in CC suites I've noticed that some mention a 'liquor setup' in all suites but there's no mention of this on the Azamara website. Is this something that's been discontinued? Thanks.

Hi Goaty, we have a suite and our TA confirmed only yesterday that we have a liquor bar in our suite along side with mixers. Hope this helps. Triona

  15. Please can I ask what would be the best way for using my iPhone. We will be traveling from Singapore to hong Kong in January. I'm on the ee network here in the uk. Many thanks for any info.. Triona

  16. Thank you all.

I have been to my bank....Nat West .....they said Vietnam no longer allows the Dong to be supplied externally.

I have been to our main post office who looked in their currency book and read out the page to me confirming that they can't supply the Dong.

After reading your posts I went online the Dong is not in the list of currency which can be bought on line with the Post office.

I have googled travel money and the comparison site does not list Vietnam as a

    choice.

Trip advisor states that the Dong is non convertible. The article goes on to say Sterling, the Euro and the Dollar must be clean and undamaged and advises travellers to be very carefully when exchanging money. It goes on to state it is illegal to list prices and ask for payment in any currency which is not the Dong.

The Dollar is accepted by major shops and restaurants but the vendor sets the rate and change is given in the Dong.It warns travellers to only accept change in clean, crisp undamaged notes.

However a search on this site gives a review saying they got some from Guest services hence my original post.

Once again Thanks to all who answered. My question is now tigger tom please will you be kind enough to tell me which bank you checked with.

I will buy some Dollars as well.

Getting really excited as only 3 weeks to go.

    Thank you

Thank you welshfamily for the info. We too are doing same trip in January 2017 and was not sure regarding the dong. We do have dollars that we will also take and I'll see what response you get regarding guest relations, I hope you have a great time.Triona
