  1. We were on that cruise as well and had a fabulous time! I agree about the first day. It seemed crowded with a lot of people just aimlessly wandering. I have to agree about the service too. We had some of the best service. Everyone was VERY friendly. There were TONS of large groups traveling. Some were friendly and some not so much.

Glad you had a great trip!

  2. We will be cruising with DD who is 5. It will be our first time using the Adventure Ocean program. I imagine that she will spend quite a bit of time in there. Is it customary to tip the workers? Will they have the same attendants for the duration of the trip?

*I know tipping can be a hot button topic. I am just not sure what to expect and I want to plan accordingly.

    Thanks!

  3. DH, DD(5), and myself are booked on Allure OTS for a July 2019 cruise. My brother has indicated interest in joining us. He is single and would traveling by himself. So we thought about moving DD to his room for reservation purposes so his fare would be cheaper. However, DD would still sleep in our room. Is that possible? We would tip room stewards appropriately. What other things do I need to think about?

Thanks! (This is our first time cruising with a child)

  4. Sorry that I haven't updated sooner. Thank you for all of the prayers. My FIL had a tear in his stomach that was causing waste to be dumped in his body. He had surgery last night. He has an underlying medical condition that has made this all more complicated. He's still in critical care and in ICU but on the road to recovery.

    Continued prayers are greatly appreciated!

  5. We are going to book on Yoyager of the Seas for a December cruise soon.

Has anyone ever stayed in a promenade room? It has a small window that overlooks the promenade. I am wondering if the room would be loud. It might be better than an interior with no windows.

We stayed in 6291 in March in the Voyager. We could hear noise from the pub every night but it was never loud enough to keep us awake. I would sit in the "bay window" and people watch. My only complaint was that I never knew what the weather was unlike until I was on a different deck.
