  1. Like others have said, I have been doing mock bookings for July 2015 to get an idea of what July 2016 will look like. Once the flights open up, I'll be sure to book them if they are around what I have written down. I use Skyscanner to check for flight fares and then book directly with the airline that offers the best price for what we are looking for.

  2. I booked a family harbor deluxe oceanview cabin for my family and I. I have done deluxe oceanview cabins since sailing on the Dream and love them. They are larger than regular oceanview cabins and the double bathroom is a huge plus - especially when you are the only female in the family/cabin. They still offer regular standard deluxe oceanview cabins with the two bathrooms, but I opted for the family harbor because of the perks and new decor. The rooms look beautiful and I am excited to be staying in one for our European cruise!

  3. We are booked for the July 9th 10 day sailing that leaves from Barcelona but ends in Athens. We plan on arriving to Barcelona two days before the cruise and staying in Athens for one extra night before flying home. I love the itinerary and DF can only take time off from work in June and July. We are traveling with our two children who will be 6 & 3 at the time of the cruise. School generally runs until late June since we have a lot of snow days in Massachusetts. I cannot wait for this cruise!

  4. I love the Dream class, so I don't think you could go wrong with any of those ships. I have sailed the Dream twice and I will be sailing the Breeze for a second time in July. The Breeze is by far my favorite ship to date. I think Carnival Sunshine would also be great since it has been seriously updated and has all the latest amenities Carnival has to offer. I am booked for the brand new Carnival Vista in 2016, but it is a European cruise. If that fits your budget, obviously do that!

  5. You will notice or hear that emailing takes quite a bit for a response and sometimes the offer does not go through successfully. I always call them and provide my information over the phone and they are able to tell me right away what my family and I are eligible for. The representative will then email me a confirmation.

  6. I'm sure this has been covered a million times, but I wanna clarify...

Dress Code for breakfast, lunch, dinner in the buffett...Not the MDR..

Can I wear tank top/skirt or jean shorts/tank top. What about tube tops?

I understand for the MDR it's a little more formal and probably will end up there on the formal nights only, but just wanted to be sure. I plan on wearing tube tops/halter tops/skirts or tank tops/skirts all day and don't want to change just to go to eat!

Anything pretty much goes for eating in the buffet. You'll see many people in just bathing suits & sandals during lunch. But what you described sounds perfect! You'll have no issues at all :)

  7. Just wanted to say that I sailed the Dream twice and absolutely love the ship! I would sail her again if she was doing different Porte that we haven't already visited. Eastern Carribean was definitely our favorite route on board the Dream. The water slides are fantastic, and fun for all ages. My brother and my mom both had cove balcony cabins, and loved them! Great views and very neat being just 30 feet above the water line. You'll love the cabin, very spacious cabin itself. Food.. Well, there is lots of it. Many, many dining options, especially for lunch. For breakfast you have two buffets (one mid ship and one aft), two omlette stations (one mid ship & one aft), main dining room breakfast and of course, 24/7 complimentary room service. For lunch.. You have 2 buffets (one mid ship & one aft), Mongolian Wok (made to order stir fry), Burrito Bar, Pasta Bar, Tandoori (Indian food), Deli, Grill, pizza (24 hours), room service (24 hours), main dining room (sea days only), lanai BBQ (sea days only). For dinner, you have the main dining room or buffet. So as you can see you, you won't be going hungry on board!! Plus there is 24/7 ice cream. Best chocolate cake can be ordered thru room service. For $30 per person, you can make reservations at the Chef's Art steakhouse, great experience and great food. If you like wine, be sure to check out the three wine packages offered on board. Great music can be found nightly at Ocean Plaza.. Great place for some sushi at the Wasabi Bar (5 PM - 8:30 PM) and a drink! Comedy club is excellent.. They offer family shows and adult shows, both get full very fast so arrive ahead of time. Theater shows are great; don't miss Dancing In The Streets or the Fun Force dance team - very entertaining. You can enjoy movies nightly on Lido Deck under the stars on the big jumbotron. Blankets are offered and popcorn is available for purchase - or you can grab free ice cream & pizza! ;) Let's see, what else.. Spa packages are available where you get access to steam rooms and thermospa hot tub pool. Speaking of hot tubs, plenty are on board. I found the ones on Deck 5 & 11 to be pretty empty most of the time. Deck 11 always had plenty of lounge chairs on sea days as well.

The ports are fantastic. I went to Blue Lagoon in Nassau - great place, quiet and excellent place for beach bums. I went to Megan's Bay Beach in St Thomas - another great beach, very beautiful. And I went to Orient Beach in St Maarten - our favorite of the whole trip!

    Hope this is helpful.

Here is a review that I'm still slowly working on...

  8. On our 2010 Dream cruise, my mom won $2,600 playing the penny machine. She had a dollar on her, put it in and bet the whole dollar and hit. And this was after my fiancé played $60 on that same machine and didn't even get a penny!

On the last sea day of our cruise, I won $1,500 playing the Cash Craze pull tabs!! Very exciting :) That paid the deposit for our cruise last month ;)

  9. He started vacation at the end of our cruise on June 18. I heard someone say that he'd be back, but also heard someone else say that he could be moving to a different ship. Just rumors at this point.

According to the 2011 CD spreadsheet that John Heald posted, Butch will return as Dream's CD in the beginning of August. I was on the Dream last week & had Gary, who was fantastic as a replacement! :)

  10. I'll be starting my review tomorrow on my June 18th sailing on board the Dream - what an excellent cruise!! :)

Sorry for the delay -- my internet has been down so I've been unable to use my laptop. I'll be uploading photos & pre-typing the review tonight! :)

  11. I don't think this has been addressed on this thread...sorry if it was and I missed it:o. Do all rooms on the Dream have refrigerators? We have had a Spa Suite on Panorama Deck in the past, and that room did. Was just wondering about the spa inside or balcony cabins. Thanks in advance:)!

    A-

Yes, all cabins on board the Dream have a mini bar fridge. You can ask your room steward to empty it out for your own personal use if you choose. However, be careful with what you choose to store in there. The fridges aren't entirely cold enough to keep dairy products & such safe from spoiling. I put 2 milks in the fridge and by morning, they were spoiled and the milk curdled.
