Hi - Sun Princess - Michael Boonzaaier will be finishing end October 2017. He tells me he may be re-deployed on Sea Princess after his leave.
Hope this is helpful.

Hi Neptune Seas - saw your request on my Dawn Princess Roll Call for 31 July 2016.
I have had a 'dining' email from a Mike Boonzaaier (South African) under the title of Maitre 'd, so am assuming he will be onboard then.
Don't know of him, so possibly a recent promotion?
Hope this helps.

scuttlebutt has always been that that is some sort of secret spy monitor that can detect if someone is in the cabin during the muster drill, or not in the cabin should an emergency passenger count be ordered.
:d ;)

Wow Globaliser - that's great - now I feel reeeallly old! But I'm not - was only a slip of a girl (really, truly, cross my heart ;) ) in 1966, ummmm....but old enough to travel across Australia by myself (and back) :D
Should I mention I have also travelled over the years on Orsova, Oronsay, Oriana, Canberra ?...oh no...that means I've been on all of them ...so no wonder I moved on to Aurora in later years. It was somewhat like Disneyland - a bathroom to yourself, balcony etc...heaven forbid :D

Hi Painter - yes, I can beat that! :p
My very first cruise EVER was on P&O Himalaya in 1966!
Travelled from Sydney to Perth by train - 5 days & 5 train changes (this was before the Indian Pacific, folks). Joined "Himalaya" in Fremantle and cruised (?) across the Great Australian Bight (did that ship have stabilisers? - no wonder I don't get seasick any more) back to Sydney.
Considering that it is now some 39  years since, and I've barely been on a train, but have been on many cruises since - no doubt you can work out what was the more pleasurable experience! :)
Ummmm...my next cruising experience and my first OVERSEAS trip was Sydney to Southampton on "Orcades" in 1969...does that qualify me for an extra prize?
By the way Painter - if I win, what is the prize? :D (just kidding!)
Milestone cruises by days only
in Princess Cruises
Posted
Hi everyone - have read this thread with no small amount of interest. A couple of questions for you from an Australian cruiser who will reach 500 sailing days with Princess on my next cruise - Fremantle to Singapore.
I emailed Captains Circle in Oz asking if this milestone would be acknowledged by Princess. It would seem that here in Australia they are completely unaware of this recognition. ;p
Has anyone been able to find something on the website confirming the 500/750/1000 day benefits enjoyed by some cruisers on this thread? I have searched and cannot find any reference to it.
I have noticed the responses on here have been mainly from US and Canadian cruisers - do hope the reason why my milestone will not be recognised is country-based. Does not seem right to me given that Princess has an international passenger base - any benefits should be shared with all who qualify. Has taken me a lot of years and money to get to 500 days :)
Many thanks in advance
