  1. I would never store my luggage under any bed in a ship's cabin or a land based hotel. I don't want to take even the smallest possibility of bringing any bed bugs or other creatures home with me.

Since I travel with just a carry on 21" piece of luggage and a shoulder bag, it's easy to store it upright in one of the closets. I'll use a plastic bag inside of it to store my laundry, and I like to return home with as much cleaned clothing as possible. That makes my unpacking so much easier!

On the Vista Nov 16 sailing, JH announced delays in sailaway due to the higher # of luggage pieces for the 11 day sailing. He claimed one couple brought 25 pieces of luggage on board for themselves!

You can always put your bags in a large garbage bag and then under bed...but just so you know...bed bugs aren't only in beds. Can be in closets, chairs, desks, etc. Unfortunately, found out the hard way [emoji30]

  2. We just got off of our cruise over thanksgiving and aside from our port days I didn't see my 14 and 16 year olds (not that I didn't want too). They went to the club the first night and made friends and were with them when we were on the boat, except for dinner!

The kids were all well behaved and at one point were Christmas Caroling on all decks!

My kids cannot wait until our next cruise!

  3. Hmm dont you think that would depend upon her symptoms when boarding?

I wasn't the one asking the question or providing her an answer...just stating that I don't think she was asking for medical advice!

  4. Totally worth it! We just did it and had around 13 drinks per day which included rockstars and coffees. We also ordered grey goose anytime we had vodka.

We found a great bartender who once we tipped him, was giving us extra shots in our drinks and not taking it out of our cheers package. I totaled my drinks, coffees etc and would have spent around $400 not including gratuity.

I loved not having to worry about getting a bar bill at the end!

  5. Just got off the Paradise and I couldn't DISAGREE more with the OP. We have cruised before but decided on this ship bc it fit our Thanksgiving break for the kids. It was the kids first cruise and while we concerned about negative reviews I and so glad I didn't listen.

The kids had an amazing time and we honestly have no complaints.

Our dining time was scheduled for 8:15 even though we had requested my time or early seating. After the second night they changed us to my time and had a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us. We never waited more than 15 minutes for my time dining.

All of the staff was amazing including the dining staff.

Sorry your experience was very different than ours!

  7. If you book outside the cruise line it is much less expensive. I booked 3 adults and 2 kids yesterday for the dolphin swim plus the manatee swim, includes lunch for $499. If you your hubby doesn't want to do it he can just pay the $21 admission at the park.

    Have fun!!!!
