Shame that we have been sailing up and down the channel for hours. The captain could have docked back at Southampton but decided to offer everyone $75obc/pp regardless of grade - that's not even the price of a 1st class train ticket from Southampton to Amsterday.
Safety - yes; but failing to keep the passengers updated is exceptionally poor and not what one expects from Cunard.

I've just found out that you can't get the OBC if you have booked a saver fare, has anyone else experienced this?
Fair enough I'm not complaining as obviously you are paying less but it doesn't mention this on the website.
We were surprised by this too. Not sure if this has always been the case, but this is the first time we have been turned down. Guess that there isn't any point arguing, but we did ask them to check again.

Yes, they appear to know about it, but have failed to resolve the isssue.
The cost of dealing with complaints must be lower than resolving the problem, but that approach fails to take into account the reduction in future cruise revenues or customer satisfaction. Like I said, last year we had no such noise and so something must have changed.
Anyway, I had a lovely sleep for an hour or so when they let me borrow an inside cabin the other day. Hey hum.

Avoid R402 and probably any adjacent suites. The chair scraping across the deck starts before 7am and the loungers are thrown around on deck 16 which then transmits down through the columns.
Quiet time is meant to be between 11pm and 7am but we have suffered noise until at leasst 1.20am then to be woken before 7am the next morning. Sleeping during the day is almost impossible unless you are deaf.
Will keep you posted on what the Deputy Captain does as we still have to suffer this for another 10 days. We are not the first to have complained. Had the same suite last year - and no such issues.
Not impressed - which idiot designed this?

We were told Rotterdam was full. If you are correct, shame they cut costs on the thrusters, after all they would have planned where they would be sailing in advance.....
