Can someone please explain the various features of the Roll Call postings? I've initiated asking questions, and received replies, but am confused by the Quotes and other symbols when trying to reply to someone else's post.

If I see someone's response to a Roll Call member's question, and would like to add my response to the original questioner, how do I do that? Do I need to "quote".  

For example, "B" has responded to "A's" question.  I would like to add my reply to A's question.  

Also, "Reply to topic" at bottom of page seems to relate to varied topics on the same page of the Roll Call.

how busy is it generally? Do I need to get up at 6 or stay up past midnight to use? Our cruise doesn’t have a lot of sea days. Wondering if i can count on it to lessen packing/baggage weight.

For various reasons, we will not be able to go to the Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik.

Has anyone been to these thermal pools: Seltjarnarneslaug or vesturbæjarlaug or sundhöllin pools? Which would you recommend for a brief "locals" experience?

If you like walking tours, London Walks has a website listing several tours per day, each one repeating 1 or 2 times during the week. Walks are 2 hours, cost 10 pounds cash, you meet near a tube stop, depending where you'll be walking. We've liked all the ones we've taken, Tower of London, Hampstead, Covent Garden. If you're not sure what their quirky descriptions mean, they will answer emails.

What's the best way to get from port to the museum?

How much time to spend there including the ride and film?

Is it worth it to do the Discovery Tour if we're not Titanic buffs?

We are recently Elite on X, but one of us is a little tired of the gradual cutbacks on quality: main DR choices other than "formal/evening chic" nights, dessert buffet vs beautiful brunch on last sea day, etc. Considering HAL but would miss perks of Elite--laundry, cocktail hour, activities beyond selling purpose: liquor/wine tasting, art shows, etc.

We are almost 70, enjoy excursions, evening shows, relaxing, port talks.

Did rain interfere with excursions, lock experience?

we booked 18 mos ago while onboard due to usual enticements. Balance due soon. Reading The Path Between the Seas and getting more concerned about weather late oct- early November. Anyone with personal experience this time of year? Going Fla to Cal. Are we crazy to go then?

We will be stopping in Cartagena, colón panama, puntarenas Costa Rica, puerto quetzal Guatemala, puerto Vallarta and Cabo.

Is there more than one dock in these ports, or possible need to tender? Location may affect choice of excursions.

Our first cruise (and only one on RCCL) was 30 years ago. We've stuck w/X lately to save up points for Elite. wondering about carib cruise this winter on Navigator. We know the RCCL ships are bigger, have more "stuff", but can someone tell us how food and service compare to X?

We just reached elite level on celebrity and saw an interesting itinerary on azamara. We typically book veranda, so suite info wouldn't be relevant to cabin comparisons. We've been happy with X but have seen little quality cutbacks over the years. Would like to hear how passengers from both compare the two.

We will be in oslo soon and I'd like to stop by the ice bar.

Is there more than one? I saw one online-- is it a safe walk from the pier or should we take a cab.

Our cruise has a day in Hels and a day in Cop. We are more interested in C and wondered how complicated it is, and time consuming to get from H to C. We plan to take a tour to Kronborg castle and perhaps could get from there to C, then back from C to H.

We've never been to Scandinavia and are considering a cruise starting in late April. Would the weather be decent enough for taking excursions etc.

Have the "occasional late winter storms in coastal areas" (per internet) caused people problems?

It's weird but celeb cruisetour 1A lists times only for post tour, but 2A gives a nice description of each city's activities. Doesn't make sense...

Sorry about your problem. I developed rash after a cruise where our laundry was done, it was all over me. Had testing and discovered sensitivity to common soap ingredient. Maybe they use more concentrated amount on laundry. Liked the idea of less to pack but won't risk it again.

We normally try to be on a deck not immediately below or above a busy area such as theater, pool, dining room.

Looking into cruise this May, only deck available in our price category is right above theater, shops, foyer etc (We normally plan further ahead than this.)

Any experience with this situation?

We are light sleepers.

we're on adriatic serenade, on oceania marina oct 21; we don't stop at amalfi.

people seem divided on capri (see jpalbny's post above), some love it, some hate the snobby aspect of the stores, people, etc. maybe in low season they have to be nicer.

ask for people's experiences in naples, sounds a little iffy.

going around the island of capri by boat sounds really nice, but the whole thing is a bit weather dependent, eg the transportation.

just reporting what I've been reading the past 2 days; we're set on 5 out of 6 excursions so this has been occupying my time a lot. may wait until closer to sailing, maybe a weather report will help.
