"Not sure if you can get the $150 credit with the card without the fee."
I have the Blue Cash Everyday (free) card and I DID have the offer.
Mine doesn't have it. Now i'm blue. LOL. Hope for the future!

Slightly annoyed. I checked my AMEX offers on Monday before making final payment and there was no Celebrity offer on my Platinium card. I just missed it. My final was due 9/14 and the offer began 9/15. Oh well.......
That means you'll just need to plan another cruise, and fast :-)

The teams are small and many people are there just to watch. 100% ok. Go and enjoy (and prepare to laugh your butt off)

On Allure with pre-purchased wifi only, no streaming, and no discount for D+. Current price for one device is $12.99 per day if bought on board.
Thank you for giving me the current on board pricing. Good to know :-)

Formal nights will occur as they do on the other ships. On set nights, in all the MDR restaurants (in this case, Grande, Chic, American Icon and Silk).
You would opt out of formal night just as you have in the past, by going to a specialty restaurant, or the Windjammer for dinner.

I was told on Harmony that I couldn't combine the discount because the online discount of 30% was so much of a discount that it was not combinable. They also said I could still claim my 1 free day for the full package which was largely pointless since I had the whole week package already but maybe i could have used an extra device for a day to use it but it didn't really seem worth the bother.
Had you pre-purchased it - or was it available to you on board at the 30% off (but not combinable with C&A)
-
I've not seen any reports than mention getting the C&A discount on pre-purchased internet.
This is what I saw on the royal caribbean blog:
"Should I buy an internet package before or during my cruise? If you are a Crown and Anchor Society member, you are likely eligible for discounts on the internet packages, but your exact discount will depend on how you purchase the package.
If you purchase an internet package online, Royal Caribbean will have to pay full price for the internet package but will receive your Crown & Anchor Society discount in the form of onboard credit."
Again not sure the validity.
-
So I read on the Royal Caribbean blog that if you pre-purchase internet access - you will still get your C&A discount when on board, in the form of OBC.
Can anyone who has pre-purchased and already sailed confirm if this is true or not? It would certainly be nice if it is true :-)
Thanks!

It is funny, that is if they can accommodate my date request! Fingers crossed. I originally wanted May or June, but July worked better for a few schedules so back in Feb I decided to move to July. Honestly, if my TA hadn't suggested it I wouldn't have been aware that there was such a thing. Anticipation is growing daily and everyone (besides his grandmother and my mother) is extremely excited.
I know it has been a couple of years for you, however how long did it take for them to approve your contract?
No it didn't. I had to put down the 3k and then was pretty much a go. lol What are you waiting on approval for, did you pay the 3k already?

Sailing date 7/15/2017 Anthem of the Seas, however I have requested ceremony on an at sea day. Waiting for contract to be approved, however my TA and I have secured my room bookings/with deposit. Just waiting for other things to fall into place. :D and hopefully they will soon.
Mine was done in that order as well. I had people booked before the wedding was booked. For me, the wedding was an afterthought as we originally planned on a May wedding, but ended up doing a december one instead :-)

So both you and cruiserTB are getting married on the same sailing?? How funny!

I appreciate you taking the time to share pictures and commentary. I am definitely looking forward to the experience and just wish the dates would come out already! :D
Do you have your wedding/sail date picked out already Charsettb? Share the good news now that dates are out! :-)

Were the arrangements real flowers?
When I got married, the flowers for me and my girls/guys were all real. The flowers used in the chapel were fake, but honestly, you can't tell. I had to go up and touch the ones in the photo to know they were fake (to my untrained eye they looked good).

They provide up to 2 rooms for the bride and groom to get ready in - so they cn get ready seperately. All other guests need to arrive in full makeup.
You can probably assign someone to MC - for me, none of that was important, so that's why we opted for no DJ. You can certainly add one on - the cost was not terribly high.
Just to be clear the "rooms" they provide are your own cabins, typically ;-) (and mine wasn't ready and they tried to kick me out HAHAHA that was classic).
As for the "DJ" i hired one and he truly wasn't worth it...save your money and do a preset playlist off a ipod and when people hear the electric slide, they'll know what to do on their own :-)

No they were not...

It basically operates just like your checkbook.
That wouldn't be good, the money would be going out faster than it's coming in! LOL
-
It depends on how many people you'll be having. I didn't want any other options other than the chapel, so I didn't go into it much. Central park was an option but i think you needed less then 12 people or something really small. Even my wedding wasn't THAT small.
-
Here are a few photos taken by the cruise line photographer. :-)
That should give you an idea. Later I got a photo on the carousel on the boardwalk (Mona took it!).

The party from this particular wedding seemingly hired out Boleros as I saw them in there for a few hours post the wedding on saturday. No photos though, I was just running down to Sorrentos to get a slice and fill my soda cup LOL
-
I took a photo (phone camera) of the little room they had set up to have a ceremony on Saturday on the side of 270. Hopefully, you can see it..

Yeah, I'm "the friend" lol.
I was married on the Oasis back when the Oasis had a chapel. (12/2013). Had my reception in Dazzles (nice venue/great view out).
Dealing with Royal Romance is....less than fun...however, they got my license for me (as I was getting married in FLL and live in NJ) and for the most part, there aren't many "hard" decisions involved. Also found a great mobile hair/makeup team in FLL. Feel free to ask away if you have specific questions :-)
My wedding was small....about 24 people I think...13 non sailing and 11 sailing, i think? I don't even remember specifically LOL. Very small. But, it was right for us.
-
Are you on the roll call? We have some nice activities planned including a cabin crawl which I like so I can see the different cabin types. :D
I am on the FB one. I'm not sure i joined the one here. I booked this like 3 weeks ago out of desperation to get the heck out of dodge for a weekend lol).

Tell me everything you can/will!!! I am super excited and again just waiting on the dates to be released, which I hope is this week. I have never been on a cruise before but we thought it would be a good non-traditional way to have fun with our friends and family in attendance for our wedding. Do you have pics? Did you host a reception?
If you looking for caribbean sail dates they are opening up on 3/7 lol
I do have pics but they are mostly on my facebook page since this page doesn't have storage. I can't post my email because I've been wrist slapped for that in the past (even though i posted it to try to get others to send me photos they might have taken of us on my wedding day around the ship...cuz you know i was likely in some that i dont know about lol). Sigh.
I had a reception in Dazzles, which was a nice room for a reception. Not great for eating since it's basically coffee table type eating from soft chairs but...personally, i didnt' eat anyway LOL. It was pretty short, as it was embarkation day, and non-sailing had to skat. Reception was 2 hours, i did hire a dj (though quite honestly you could play music over a PA and spend less and get the same...the dj didn't really speak ever). I did the extra hour of photos after the ceremony and went around the ship and took various with just me and the groom. Took several in the reception with the bridesmaids/family/friends.
I don't regret a single thing. Mine was very small...i believe 13 sailing guests and about as many non-sailing. We didn't sail out of a home port for most so, it was only really targeted to people who were already taking a group cruise with Mona and me. Any questions - ask away. I'll do my best to pop over here and look (or mona can remind me lol)

Sorry if I worried your friend needlessly. It's on the Roll call thread for this weekend's cruise. They're speculating due to the storm and the waves at the sea and someone is looking at the weather models. I'm proceeding as if nothing's changed and we're going to cruise as normal. :D
I'm the friend. I'm not worried LOL. :-)
Anyone found cameras/cards on Ovation (sailing 11/21 to 12/9 or so)
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
There's a thread going around Facebook regarding a couple who lost their cameras on their ovation trip, and unfortunately the female passenger has since passed away. They are trying desperately to locate the cameras/cards. Anyone have any information/on the sailing?
Boosting the noise level on this one as much as possible! Please share far and wide. :-)
