You could always offer the upgrade to the person who took your daughter’s cabin. I’m sure they would be happy to move. Getting medallions reprogrammed will not be an issue.
Why wouldn’t Princess come up with this plan? Do I have to suggest it to my TA?

I originally booked 2 cabins side by side...1 for us and the other for my (adult) daughter and her friend. As we get closer to the sailing date, Princess has "upgraded" my daughter's cabin to a different floor. My TA was unaware Princess did this and cannot do anything, as the sailing is sold out and there are no more cabins available. This will be a big inconvenience being on different floors. Any suggestions?

Our ship is stopping in Genoa and our plan is to take the train on our own into Santa Margherita and then the bus into Portofino.

I'll be taking my sneakers but with this heat, I don't know if my feet will tolerate it. That's why I'm also packing my Birkenstock sandals to let my little piggies breathe.

For those of you that are reading this and wondering if you should book Capt. Bob's excursion, book it. You won't be disappointed. You'll actually be amazed with it. I just got back and have to post my review. My wife was so apprehensive at first because she did not want to get seasick. For the 6 hours we were on the boat, not once did we feel uncomfortable with the movement of the boat. It was actually very fun going through the water at high speed. Once you go into the Atlantic waters, it does get choppy but the captain knows how to maneuver and everyone on board was fine. No one got sick, including a grandmother in her 70's that was also on board! Music on board made everyone feel at ease. Plenty of drinks and lunch was nothing like you would usually get in an excursion. This was a DELICIOUS lunch served on real plates and silverware. He took us to plenty of spots where we saw sea turtles and plenty of fish. Stops at beaches, near the airport to see a plane fly by so low and a stop in a swimming hole that was perfect. The price is definitely worth it. This was the best excursion of our week-long cruise.

I just got back from St Maarten and took Capt. Bob's excursion. My wife was also apprehensive at first but at the end we said this was the best excursion of our cruise! She was worried about getting sea sick...no problem with that. She was worried that she wasn't a good swimmer...they offer noodles to help you float, or if you really want, they'll give you a life vest to wear. This excursion was so much fun! Having lunch by the beach with REAL plates and silverware and a very delicious lunch was awesome! You might think it's pricey, but it's oh, so worth it! Let me know if you have any questions

Will a Uber car be able to fit 3 passengers with luggage?

Was the $150 a night for the Crowne Plaza a 3 or 4* hotel and is that before or after taxes? From what I'm seeing $150 is not a bad price for a hotel. I was able to get a 4* for $132 last year in Vancouver. It looks like Seattle is a little bit more expensive for the same time of year.
This is $150 before taxes and the CP is considered a 3* although it is very nice, not too far from a 4*.

I got the Crowne Plaza in downtown Seattle through Priceline, August 19, 2 nights for $150 each night.

I just got back from cruising the Triumph and I was charged the posted rate from the airport to the Holiday Inn, Superdome.
Only 1 of 2 cabins was upgraded
in Princess Cruises

It looks like this is a Pattern for Princess. We were also side by side on deck 17, conveniently by the pool. My daughter's cabin was moved to the 14th floor. My TA has tried getting the original room back but Princess is saying the rooms are sold out. Why wouldn't they just have moved us both? Why only "upgrade" one room?
