  1. As Bob said, your Personalizer for your booking on this cruise will show your status (blue, gold, ruby, platinum, black). I suggest you check this first. If it shows you as 'blue', then phone Princess and ask to speak to the Captains' Circle section. It would help if you have details of your P&O cruises, but they are able to access the system and see what cruises you have done. Their system would go back a couple of decades. For older cruises, you have to supply proof yourself. :)

Thanks everyone!! When I printed my boarding pass a couple of days ago it definitely said Blue, but I just logged in just now & it says Platinum so now I just need to reprint my 'priority check in' boarding pass :) Wooohoooo!!! Thanks for all the replies guys really appreciate the heads up!

  2. We found it quite good to be able to pay in advance in this case; Mum & I are cruising for Christmas/ New Years & my sister just 'bought' us a shore tour as a Christmas present. Meant she didn't have to search through the shops for something we might not have liked.

On another note, this is my first cruise with Princess (I've cruised with P&O 5 times), but one thing I really noticed is how little choices there are on shoretours with Princess compared to with P&O. I'm not sure if it is just our cruise or all Princess cruises (because they do cater to a slightly older demographic), but does anyone know why? (We are on the Dawn Princess that cruises out on MONDAY :D:D:D:D)

  3. my Last Cruise was with the Pacific Jewel, and when I went on it, there were opposing views everywhere (Just as extreme as the ones for the Pearl are now), I read all the reviews, the good and the bad (Didnt let the BF read the bad reviews as he was a first time cruiser and I was worried it'd turn him off it). Although we had Horrible weather for most of the time and missed a port (We broke the Jewel and the cruise after us was canceled:eek:) We had the Best time EVER!! Our Room attendant was wonderful, as was the Waiters at the Club Lounge, everything was better than anything that I could have hoped for, and I think it comes down to having realistic expectations, and letting the holidays take you to where ever it will go.

Now I'm booked for the Pearl, and I can't wait, its a new advanture on a new ship :D and to add to the excitment the BF and I picked out all our shore tours yesterday (I like to book them as soon as they become available:p)

I can't wait to go Cruising again :D

*P.s I know the Pearl isn't a 'new' Ship, I mean New as in I haven't been on it yet :P

  4. As rugbypopsie said, Amora at Jamison's is REALLY good :)

I loved it, the positioning of where the Hotel was isn't ideal, but the service, the room, the Swimming pool, the Sauna's everything was great :)

We did have an unfortunate event where my bf broke the bed, no it wasn't anything dodgy, he jumped on it and a plank fell off from under the bed, a Handyman had to come fix it, we were soooo embarrassed...

Also, If you do go there, and decide on some extra luxury treatments, they're restaurant is SOOOO good, absolutely to die for :) My bf and I spent $200 for a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine, so prices were toooo dear :p But Don't pay to have Breakfast there...It wasn't worth it, I can't remember if they charged $75 each, or $75 for the both of us, either way, it really wasn't worth it...
