Hi
When we went a few years ago we had my mother and son and daughter in law join us.
It was no problem just ask your butler to check.
The butler even brought extra canapés for them too each evening.

Brace yourself.... Your suite is on you tube :)looks like the Princess suite we had, it is lovely!

Oh did I love this cabin.
-
Hi
Stick with what you got. Great cabin, had it a few years ago.
-
They must all be gutted; we were considering this cruise - so much so we have booked the same 4 night break for next year just to be in Amsterdam overnight New Years Eve. Truly hope P&0 COME UP WITH A GOOD VALID REASON FOR NOT BERTHING AND NOT JUST THE OLD FOB OFF.!!! The New Years eve short cruise is always sold at over inflated prices as it is a New Year break ! They mustn't be allowed to get away with lame excuses for this. If the winds were so bad how come Q Victoria got in. They really must check their fob stories when another ship of the Carnival UK group does manage to get in !
Also why didn't she take a local pilot with her from Previous Port of Zebrugge - Sorry but something just doesn't seem right here ----- Again
2 completely different ships.
Safety will always come first

Hi
Go and enjoy your cruise.
You always get the moaners.
It's what you make it.

Hi
We were on Ventura a couple of weeks ago in a force 11 mid channel.
Thought she handled it very well.
Pitching and rolling depends on swell quite a bit.

Hi All
Can anyone please tell me if the port is now taking larger cruise ships.
A few have gone to Tenerife instead.
Thanks

Drool Drool :D
I always try to visit once per cruise.
I like the glass house too.
-
Jeanlyon is always negative.
She prefers the smaller ships.
-
Mayflower check in. Not opening until one o clock today.
I think it might be down to size of ship.
Like some one else said that they used to start boarding at 2pm.
But now the ships have got bigger it's hard to get everyone in 2 1/2 hours.

Surely just because you have to vacate your room at the hotel by 11 or 11.30, doesn't mean you have to vacate the hotel? Most hotels would let you stay in a lounge with your luggage.
We are in Devon and it takes between just under 3 hours to 3.5. The worst hold up we ever had was right in Southampton, but was still only half an hour. We leave home at 9, drop off our dogs at the sitter and are usually at the terminal by 1300 or 1330. that is even with Soton playing at home and the Boatshow on.
Wish I could drive down on the day.
So you leave at 9 to get to terminal for 1 ish?
If your boarding time was 3.30 would you leave at 11am?
Think not as your not allowing for any congestion.
I will not sit in hotel with all luggage taking up space. I go to terminal and just wait and relax.
We have to leave 2 days earlier just to make sure we are in Southampton.
-
Maybe if and when people stick more closely to their boarding times, there will not be chaos in the terminals.
If everyone still decides they are very very important and HAVE to be among the first to board, then the chaos will continue.
I would say stick a lot more closely to the time you have been given, if you do not want to be sat in the terminal for a long time.
Hi
The problem we have is we have to travel to Southampton 2 days earlier due to us not living on the main land.
Stay in hotel/b&b and have to be out by 11am.
We go to terminal and have drink and wait.
We have waited minutes and waited hours.
But it won't leave without us.
(And we people watch. Lol)

When you go to mdr do you go into kitchen to look at food?
-
Nothing at all "disorderly" about taking a brief look to see what food is available before choosing. How do you do it?
Stand in line and just take the first option?
Stand in line and wait until you see something you want, but towards the end realise that what you wanted was at the beginning of the display, but just take something at the end and accept eating your second choice?
Stand in line and wait until you see something you want, but towards the end realise that what you wanted was at the beginning of the display, so leave (through the exit) and rejoin the beginning of the queue again?
Stand in line filling your plate as you go, but, but towards the end see something that you really want, so leave (through the exit), abandon your filled plate and rejoin the beginning of the queue again?
Stand in line and pile your plate high with every type of random food on offer? You know the type, those who are putting curry on their quiche, right next to the custard.
Wouldn't it be far easier just to take a look, you know, like looking at a menu and not just jabbing a finger at random and telling the waiter "I will have that".
Correct me if I'm wrong.
But don't they put list outside of what's on offer?
-
Well I can assure you I've had no problems with ANY buffet and I certainly don't PUSH AND SHOVE' date=' or maybe I've had no problems because I'm more tolerant and I'm on holiday so don't let silly things bother me.[/quote']
Best one.
Have enough stress in my job.
So I just chill.
If someone is in that must of a rush for food, they can have it. Lol

I agree the aft cabins are the best.
No footfall past cabins.
No wind on balcony
Little Vibration only when docking.
We had one midship cabin. (Never again).

Hi
Can't remember seeing machines taking notes last cruise.
I might be wrong but played machine and always had cash on me but used my card.
Unless it's ship by ship.
-
All machines are money less. Pop in cruise card to play.
Just remember IF you win or still have credit on card to put it back to your account on last night.
Tables you can use £ or use your cruise card.

C753. A751-twice. D737 and b749.
All Ventura or Azura.
We love the aft cabins.

It depends. If you dock somewhere where there is no easy transport it is free. We did Bilbao/La Rochelle/Brest/Cherbourg last autumn.
Of the four, you can walk into Cherboug so it doesn't matter, Bilbao is a 20 min drive, La Rochelle is about 5 miles from the town, Brest 2 or 3 miles. None were easily accessible anyway. We got free transport to all three towns despite being on the cheap fares. Some places (e.g. Bruges) the free coach goes to the nearest place of any size, Blankenberg I think.
There is a pdf somewhere which lists whether port transport is peage or not.
Our cruise last year had 6 shuttle charges out of 7 stops.
-
We booked a cruise for August on an early saver back in November and then just found out the price (again early saver) had gone down by £360 overall. We cancelled and rebooked. Took the £100 hit for losing our initial deposit but still ended up £260 better off - this will now pay for our coach transfer (which is not included on an early saver) and a few drinks on board.
Hi
Don't forget you now have to pay for shuttle bus too.
That is £4 each per stop I think.
-
I've had it both ways, sometimes more and sometimes less.
But at the end of the day when you book and pay you must be happy with the price, if not you wouldn't book it.
