Hi All, I know the shuttle bus used to drop you at the port gates but am sure this changed and they used to drop you by the market in town, has anyone been recently and used the shuttle, is it easy to walk from the ship to the gates?
Thanks for your help.:)

We are sailing on Majesty in September. Anyone have any experience of the wifi on Majesty....ie where is the best area to pick it up, is it reliable and is it free ! I`m guessing it`s chargeable as it doesn`t state otherwise. I know these things are constantly improved/upgraded so any recent experiences would be much appreciated.
Hi Oscarshep, the wifi is payable the last time we used it my DH got the biggest bundle he could we found the best and quickest place to use it was the Royal Observatory.
Hope this helps.

Hi Dave,
I've just seen your post have you had any luck with your API yet? I'm on the majesty on the 30th October and have done mine also have selected my seat out and back think your etickets will be available two weeks before you fly.
Don't know if this will help.

we did the Soller train and the tram from the station to the port and returned from Soller port by bus which was great. You take the number 1 bus to the bus station then walk along to the Soller train station I'm sorry can't remember what the cost was now. You could also do the train journey in reverse. The tram can be quite crowded and Soller is a lovely place to visit.

we did the Pisa trip which was enjoyable a lovely experience and then did Florence at a later date and enjoyed both am sure it would be okay to do both in one day.

We did the little mini train around then had a wander and sat with a coffee and people watched it is pricey here though.

Great review. The Majesty has always been one of my favourites it's such a freindly ship.

To be fair everyone has their own preferences I prefer the majesty, we took our grandson on her when he was 14 and he really enjoyed it, others will prefer the spirit, for me it would come down to the itinery. Don't know if this helps at all. Whichever ship you choose go with an open mind and enjoy the experience.:)

Dear Campolady, heres a hug from me too.

Brilliant I have the same problem when I text!!

I've always found when I've asked anything on this forum about various places and excursions have always been answered quickly and with some great ideas. So don't worry about asking questions I've asked some classics in my time. ;)

Sounds like it although if it was me I'd probably double check at the station just to make sure I didn't have problems on the train.:)

Enjoy your first time on the Majesty, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

I have to prebook a lot of train tickets for work and often have to pick them up at the station as normally my colleagues dont ask until a day or two before they are due to travel. Have found it very easy so yes I would pick them up from the station this week. Enjoy your trip:)

If I remember correctly Palomas is where the ship docks right beside the town and the marina, lovely place we took a wander up into the town itself. Then sat and had a coffee on the front and watched the world go by. Sorry can't help you any more than that. :)

For the first time ever I have had to book a single cablin and couldn't believe the cost I would jump ship but I do love the majesty and her crew they have always been good to us, but I may have to seriously consider using other cruise lines. I also wrote to Thomson's and have not received any response.

Thanks again all, have booked now I did prebook an outside cabin on deck 8 am sure it will be fine. I'm now looking forward to it.
That's why I like this forum everyone is so helpful and friendly.
Thanks again

Thank you for that info sounds like it doesn't really matter if I pre-book a cabin or not.
Thanks again for all your help and advice.

I've yet to fathom out how they do it. When we first cruised on the Topaz we tried to catch them out and returned to our cabin about 4 times in one day and still couldn't work out how they managed to get in there without us seeing them in the corridor. They are such lovely and kind people too.:)
