I have a small wallet sized card the Casino staff gave me while on the Summit last week with the steps to take cash from the slot machines and it worked like a charm:

    Tap your Seapass Card

    Choose Account option

    Touch Personal Banker button

Enter 4 digit PIN (your Month and Day of Birth)

    Touch Transfer to Game button

    Select Promo ($)

Select amount "Other" button  (this is where you enter your on board Credit amount)

then hit CASH OUT  and take ticket to Casino cashier

This works on most Celebrity ships - I also did this recently on the Silhouette and Equinox with no issues.

    Balcony- min 250

Received email weeks ago but thought 250 per person was too high for a minimum bid.  Changed my mind and placed minimum bid as saw over 100 balcony cabins available and thought we had a great chance...so happy we got it and we are on deck 6 center bumpout cabin - I figure this saved us 1500+ (plus we got 600 OBC perks from Travel Agent) over booking it in the first place.  This is the second MOVE UP success so far and will definetly try in the future - worried that ships are filling these days so may have to be more aggresive in future bidding

  3. Wouldn't it be great to be able to upgrade/change your Beverage Package (now is even more applicable since Elevate and Indulge packages went away) with your Captains Club discounts on the website?  I have spent HOURS on hold trying to do this and it would be a simple thing to link your Captains Club status when you log in to your booking/account.  If you make it easier Celebrity maybe you will sell more upgrades right?

Also WHY can't I book Specialty restaurants with other parties where we sit together and use our OWN onboard credits to pay for them in advance?   This is infuriating that I would have to use all my own  OBC to pay for our entire party in order to reserve a time together.

These are a few of the instances off the top of my head that would make things easier to book and free up your overworked phone agents and maybe make hold time decrease from 2-3 hours plus.

What are some others they can make an online fix without calling and waiting on hold for EONS?

  4. Just a warning from someone who was just on the Summit last week: (Feb 19, 2022)

We were not only tested two days before per Celebrity Cruises protocol and we were on a charter cruise (at smaller occupancy NOT 100% or even close)  BUT we all had to do an additional Antigen test at the pier on the day of boarding and we are dealing with a POSITIVE Covid case with my husband ...he is getting the Monoclonal IV treatment as we speak.  I have tested Negative so far and am feeling fine. Most with positive cases are reporting that they thought they just had allergies - some are far sicker than that.

We were under a very false sense of security and hardly anybody wore masks.  I am hearing so far of more than 50 positive Covid cases from our sailing and climbing as people come forward.   The crew were required to mask 100% and did.    We were also cleared to go on excursions on our own in St Thomas and St. Maarten so who knows if that is where the cases were brought aboard.

Just wanted to share so you can make your own decision.  We are boarding the Summit on March 14th and I will be masking up.

  5. Welcome back Paul!!

I am so glad you two are cruising again!  We took a chance and cruised with friends on the Celebrity Apex Transatlantic October 2021 sailing and it was sure great to be "home" again.  I teared up while boarding and the crew was clapping and cheering to welcome us aboard.

We felt safer on this trip then going to our local grocery store and the service (we only had 1300 passengers and 1300 crew) was amazing.   It was a spectacular voyage in every way and I hope you enjoy yours as much as we did.  The crew was genuinly pleased to be back and board with passengers.

Missed reading  your reviews and have learned so much from them.

We are in cold in cloudy Chicago today visiting our daughter and new son-in-law in their newly purchased home for their first Thanksgiving. (purchased with an agent from @properties) then back to sunny Ft Myers, FL on Monday.

Enjoy your trip and welcome home!

So this OBC is from Celebrity, correct?  If so, do you plan to move to a TA or keep direct with Celebrity?  I ask because we have booked all four legs, and three of them, from Celebrity, included $800/pp OBC, one is $600.  I moved to a TA and in addition he added $2000 OBC for three legs and $1000 for one.  First time using a TA in many many many years, but feeling like we did OK.  If not used, the TA's OBC is refundable cash.  Got my transfer confirmation from Royal (yes I booked with Celebrity but the transfer emails came from RCCL) today moving he bookings to the TA.  Fingers crossed!

  7. We booked legs 1-3 while onboard the Apex Transatlantic last week and yes, we only received 100 OBC per cabin (booked Sunset Verandah - same cabin on all three) as we were told they were all considered Repositioning sailings.

When I log in to my Celebritycruises.com account however, only ONE is specifically tagged as a Repositioning cruise (# 3 - from Singapore to Sydney - Bali to Sydney Reposition)

I agree that we should get the regular OBC onboard booking offer on all the others.

  8. I think we have the same "3 to 5 day to respond" Travel Agency.    I have had nothing but trouble with them since the Pandemic and I too understand the upheaval of the travel business and that they had to fire many of their former employees, but it is very frustrating trying to deal with price match guarantees and cancelled cruises with rebooking options with them in any sort of timely manner.  I wish Celebrity Cruises would make exceptions for us moving reservations due to the gross derilect of responsive service from them.  I am a retired Travel Agent with years of experience and I will not be booking with them in the future.  I have tried their social media accounts, etc to get some type of response from them and they just ghost you.

  9. What happens if Celebrity Air is booked and paid for by final payment but fare goes down?  No change in dates/flight, etc but lower fare by Celebrity Air?   They have told me they will not be ticketing until September 2, 2020 on our International flights, and "Flights by Celebrity" guarantees the lowest price..

Flights by Celebrity℠ gives you the best prices available on your flights. We guarantee it. Our Lowest Airfare Guarantee* means you get the best value in air travel – a benefit no other cruise line offers. So, there’s no need to jump from site to site comparing rates. And, if you book with us and find a lower fare, we’ll credit you 110% of the difference to spend onboard your cruise. Either way – you win. You get all this with absolutely no booking fee when you use Flights by Celebrity℠.

The flight must be available and the flight itinerary must be identical including airline, fare rules, flights, dates, and times. Lowest Airfare Guarantee applies only to the base fare of the flight without including any taxes and fees. .

According to this statement from the Celebrity website, we should get an onboard credit for 110% of the difference.....

    Anybody had this happen?

  10. Yesterday one of my bookings was missing completely and when I tried to add it with Reservation ID # I got a response that it was not a valid number.

Today, ALL of my bookings have completely disappeared - and I cannot add them with Reservation ID #

I want to pay for my Celebrity Air today and never received a record locater # so not even sure if we are booked

Called this in to Captains Club to report it and they assure me they can see my reservations from their end.  When is this going to be fixed?   I deleted and reloaded the Celebrity App and my next sailing for October 2021 appears but no other bookings

    The Celebrity website strikes again....UGH

  11. I was on your Edge sailing as well and was blown away by service and beauty of this ship.  We brought another couple with us who were first time Celebrity cruisers and they loved it so much they booked another future Celebrity cruise onboard for their group of six to Alaska next Summer.

This was my 10th Celebrity sailing, and after all the negative press regarding the Edge,  we were cautiously ready to hate it but boy were we impressed.  We were in our FIRST ocean view cabin on deck three- we usually are Aqua Class and/or Deluxe Verandah cruisers - (due to increased Edge fare, we could only afford this option) and our cabins were IDENTICAL in almost every way other than the verandah to our friends IV they booked.  An added benefit was we were very close to the four dining rooms, the Martini Bar, the Guest Relations desk, etc.  My husband remarked that it is no longer necessary to book Aqua Class cabins on Edge class as the food quality and four smaller dining rooms did the trick for us.

I was so impressed by it all - it never felt crowded even though it was a full ship.  We were able to confirm our Select dining times in advance and were seated on time every night.  The entertainment was TOP NOTCH and they really elevated their game here.  Plenty of evening options....  Loved Eden - what a nice quiet area during the day and the bar staff was so personable here. Eden Cafe for breakfast and/or lunch was our little secret - yum!  It is a free venue but everyone probably thought it was a pay venue, so it was never crowded.

We felt the food quality was outstanding - the only disappointments were food quality in the Sushi restaurant and the interactive animated experience was cute but not worth an extra 55.00 per person because the food quality was awful the night we attended.  We wished we would have tried the Fine Cut Steakhouse or Eden dinner instead.

The staff made this trip and this was my first cruise with Captain Kate.  Her Q and A activity was truly an education in itself, she is so personable and smart.  When we disembarked in Ft Lauderdale, there was Captain Kate (we called her Sandra Bullock because she looks just like her)  in her skirt and high heels, personally thanking every passenger (along with the Cruise Director and Hostess)  she must have had to stand and shake hands for hours!

We personally booked two future sailings on board, and  rest assured, we will return to enjoy future Edge class ships .  They are incredible. We did not feel we needed a balcony on this ship - our friends had an IV cabin, and it was nice, but if you are wavering due to price - an Ocean View cabin on Aft Deck three is really great.

Boarding and Customs in Ft Lauderdale were a dream.  We used the early walk-off option and carried our bags but no joke - it took minutes - we were truly amazed.

We had a lot of OBC to burn so we purchased two Celebrity Shore Excursions (look for sales on this - we got discounts pre cruise) - The Captains Club Bacardi Mixology Class in San Juan was a blast!  We also took the Jost Van Dyke catamaran trip and went to the Soggy Dollar Bar where they invented the Painkiller and has a great time.

Do not be afraid to try the Edge or Edge class ships!   We loved it.  Such a chill vibe everywhere - beautiful artwork - felt more like a deluxe resort than a cruise ship.  We are a couple in their 60's and would bring our families of all ages aboard in the future....every age group would enjoy!

  12. We were on the Millennium Mar 2-16 sailing and were in an Aqua class cabin on Deck 9 and there were plenty of issues going on.

There was a ship-wide power outage on the last night in Hong Kong late at night and backup generators were used for power.  Also, the Sky Suite right by the mid-ship elevators had a major flooding issue 2-3 days before we left with many fans/shop vacs sucking up water.  I was shocked the passengers were never moved from that cabin.

I noticed many workmen during the day down the hall on deck 9 working on something in the ceilings - this was an every day occurrence - it was on the side where the Apple lounge was removed and new cabins built.  What was that all about?  One day they engaged the wall closing that area completely for hours.  It was as if they hadn't finished the refurbishment in that area.

We were thankful none of this affected us in cabin 9129, but I felt bad for the passengers that were.

  13. 7 night Celebrity Edge - December 15, 2019 sailing - basic Oceanview midship cabin fully refundable deposit.  Includes ALL perks including Premium beverage package and additional OBC from large East coast TA of 275.00 including loyalty credit.  This was booked and deposited on January 14, 2019

booked price:   2711.90 including all taxes and fees

new price on TA website including all perks today:  4345.64 including all taxes and fees(but only includes loyalty OBC of 50.00)

Whoa.  glad I grabbed this when I did in January......yikes!

  14. We have taken a total of 10 Celebrity cruises and this is our #1 favorite sailing of all.  We sailed late April 2017 from Sydney to Honolulu and then did the back to back 10 day Hawaii sailing to Vancouver.

The weather was perfect for sightseeing in Sydney (we took a light jacket and pants for Blue Mountain tour before the cruise) otherwise sunny and warm throughout.  We spent three nights before the cruise in Sydney (Rendevous Hotel in the Rocks - perfect location - can walk to cruise ship, Opera House, Ferry boats/trains etc) and did the Opera House tour and Blue Mountain tour on our own - don't miss these!)  Check and see if there is an Opera House performance you would like to see when you are there.  In Honolulu we went to the Arizona Memorial and Missouri (my favorite was the Pacific Aircraft Museum) on our own - we bought tickets in advance through the National Parks website and shared an Uber from the ship and back and it worked out perfectly.

Our favorites were Bora Bora and Moorea but we enjoyed every port on this cruise.  We would take it again in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the killer flight from Southwest Florida to Sydney!  I attatched a photo taken from the walking track on the Solstice.

    Enjoy your cruise!

  15. We are price conscious cruisers as well.   Last Monday we booked an Oceanview cabin on a Dec. 15th seven night sailing of the Edge for 2711.90 total for two adults with a well known east coast cruise company from New Hampshire.  We each received a Premium Drink Package, Internet for two, Prepaid Tips for two, a 300.00 OBC from Celebrity -  and an additional 10% of cruise cost in OBC from the agency (225.00 OBC) as well an additional 50.00 Loyalty OBC from them.

We can probably get a little cheaper price on the older ships but we feel this is a pretty good value for us, and we are happy we reserved it as the prices have already gone up for what we booked.  It is a refundable deposit from Celebrity, and we feel it is worth the risk of a small cancellation penalty from the agency to get this deal.  We are fortunate to be able to drive the hour and a half to get to Ft Lauderdale so no added airfare either.  We will try the Edge class ship and see what we think.  It is great that Celebrity currently has choices between Millenium, Solstice, and Edge class experiences.

  16. Our family/friend group of six had a great time of the Dec 17th Infinity sailing.  We had three Aqua Class cabins and they were in a great location and the balcony was a nice sized and covered from the hot sun.  BLU was just the best.  The waitstaff and menu items were amazing and our waiter offered to make special items for us and his suggestions were always on point.  Natalia the Blu hostess was attentive and even called our cabin to make sure to save our large 6 top table for us, which was nice and unexpected.  Our favorite was the silent disco which we went to twice....just GO its so much fun.  We were on the Infinity for a Panama Canal sailing a couple years ago and while the Solstice class ships are our favorite, we had a wonderful 5 night cruise right before Christmas and want to do it again in the future.  She does need to be refreshed, but is still in great shape.  The Holiday decorations were breathtaking and great crew couldn't have been nicer to us.

  17. We'll be watching!  We board Millie on March 2nd - staying three nights before in Singapore and three nights after in Hong Kong.  Just paid final payment today so it is becoming real!   It is our first trip to Asia and we are looking forward to boarding soon after Mille is "Edge-cized" in Aqua Class.  So excited for this fascinating itinerary - not so excited about the long flights to and from however - ugh!  I think it will be worth it.   Have a great trip!

  18. Hi everyone! My husband and I are in our early thirties and we are planning a big overseas trip/cruise for next year. We came across the 12 night Scandinavia/Russia cruise on the Reflection that starts on June 26th. Our first cruise was on the Reflection and we loved the ship so we have experience there but we've never done this type of cruise before (take a look at my signature for our past cruises to see what we've done). I'm looking for thoughts from folks whom have done a similar cruise. What did you enjoy, what did you not enjoy? I know the crowd will skew older as this is a longer cruise. Should we perhaps consider a different cruise line? We're both foodies and I personally like having activities to do while my husband likes relaxing on the ship. I liked this sailing since it has stops at almost all of the countries that are on my bucket list to see (only one missing is Norway).

    Here are the stops:

    Starts in Amsterdam

    Rostock, Germany

    Helsinki, Finland

    St. Petersburg, Russia (overnight)

    Talinn, Estonia

    Stockholm, Sweden

    Copenhagen, Denmark

    Back to Amsterdam

Any thoughts and/or reviews are appreciated!

We took this itinerary on the Eclipse this summer to and from Amsterdam and it was fantastic. We only took two organized private tours and did the rest on our own which was the right call. We went the end of June to avoid the crowds and it was smart to do so -White Nights is taking place in St Petersburg in June - get a balcony if you can - cruising the archipelago in Amsterdam and Copenhagen was so nice on our private balcony. We ordered room service breakfast and really enjoyed it! It is light out until 1AM - that takes some getting used to for sleeping.

We booked the two day "Best of the Best" tour with Best Tours in St Petersburg - highly recommend - they got us a great price in Berlin for the full day tour at a discount - totally worth it and it was so nice to have a small group and cut the lines at the Hermitage and Peterhof fountains-and take the subway! -- don't forget to take the Faberge Museum the first night - so great! Their price was less than others and we paid with a credit card the second day in St Petersburg - no deposit required or Russian VISA required.

Stockholm - take the ferry right from the pier to the VASA museum and get there early to avoid the crowds - then walk to the Royal Palace for changing of the guards at Noon - walk back to the ship - easy

Talinn- if you are a chocolate lover like myself find the Kalev outlet store a block or two from where the shuttle bus (pay when you board right at ship) and bring your own bag for the best price in town! I bought all my souvenirs here and am sorry I didn't buy more - then walk into old town for shopping - I got some fragrant Juniper trivets to take home at the market - so nice! You can take a chocolate/marzipan class at the Kalev location in town and learn how to make chocolates. Such a nice day.

Helsinki - take the shuttle into town and walk through the park and find the Uspenskin Katajonokka Cathedral - go inside - its free and breathtaking

Amsterdam - book your train ticket online and print ticket to/from the Airport - cheap and easy to take Book your Anne Frank tickets online and print at home - these sell out many days in advance - take a canal cruise -and go to the Rijksmuseum and walk around Rembrandt Square and the Red Light District - so many fun restaurants - our favorite was the reasonable Wok to Walk all over town

Copenhagen - take the shuttle from the ship and see the Royal Palace and pay to see the Crown Jewels and Rosenborg Palace - worth it! Its a beautiful area to enjoy the parks and Rose Gardens too!

Take this trip - you will not regret it.
