I still want to know how they'll handle sofa beds and Pullmans and giving out paper campuses.
I am concerned about damp towels as we will be 5 in the cabin and shower morning and evening.
I don't want the sofa bed out all day but likely (hopefully?) we can fold it ourselves in the mornings.

Look at your app
We are sailing Rhapsody in April and MDR menus have disappeared from the app.

Our deluxe drink package just went up to $71 per day. Kind of torn if we should get it or not. We will be on a European cruise and since the itinerary is port heavy not sure if it will make sense. It is nice though knowing we wont have a bar tab on our bill at the end of the cruise.
Can we prepay onboard credit for drinks etc and be refunded what we didn't spend?
-
Looking forward to hearing how it works out.
The family member may be planning to use the babysitting on port days, may prefer to pump and store before drinking alcohol, may have inconsistent supply...
The why doesn't matter too much

Thanks for all your answers
We are on a 7 day, 7 island itinerary.
A drink package doesn't seem worth it but we are considering the coffee card and paying for other drinks on board as we want them.
Some islands have different brands and flavours of soda and other drinks to try as well
-
Is it a problem to bring a bottle or can of soda back onboard after a day in port?
-
Thanks for posting your review. I'd also like to know if the ship was very worn
Do you know what were the ranges of time for boarding in Barbados. I see the sail away is very late.

We enjoyed the congi at the breakfast buffet most mornings.

I will never forget how on our Mediterranean cruises there are always parents who have their small children in strollers and there they are over all those cobblestones. The kids , exhausted, bum-pity, bump, bump.
Shame on parents who drag their kids on cruises to make it convenient for themselves.
How do the children who live in these areas get around?

My sons are younger (3 & 6) but were well entertained by the fun factory doing craft and playing
I booked them into the VIP Party Pass because it was $60 each, much lower than I had read and I wanted them to do the tours.
Every evening a family activity was organised (games, quiz, movie etc) but that was late for the boys at 7 or 8pm
This was a Caribbean cruise with only one sea day but we stayed on board at some islands

I had a very nice smoothie from AquaSpa last week and it was covered by my Classic package

Hi
Do you know if you HAVE to sign up for the party pass on the first day
I am interested in the tours included but I am also now thinking about the dinner period as well
-
Hi k9handler.
How was the fun factory?
-
In terms of promotions sometimes the 123 or pick-your-perk promotion has a free or reduced fare for the 3/4/5 passengers on selected cruises
When I booked I had the cabin numbers I preferred handy as the agents don't seem that familiar with the Family Verandas
Also the system does not seem to be able to handle 5 names on one reservation. For our booking for one cabin has two reservation numbers with 3 of us on one and 2 on the other
-
Celebrity website point blank refuses to let me check in one of my children
I spent over 45 minutes on the phone to be told I'll just have to check her in at the pier
Has anyone experience with that?
-
For my March sailing a couple categories opened up at 75 days but yesterday at 60 days a lot of cabins categories showed up as available. The rates are significantly higher than when I booked under the PYP offer
-
I hope they keep the Family Verandas.
A self service laundry would be a plus

I would really appreciate if you come back at post the price of the VIP Party Pass for the Fun Factory and whether ships tours are still included.
We are on Summit next March and all the information on the Party Pass is general (up to 40% saving etc) and not specific sums for any itinerary.
-
Hi Thanks for this entertaining diary.
Would you go out of your way one day to the fun factory and get the price of the VIP party pass?
-
Wonder why they would advise that..?????
I don't know because I made no complaint about tips.
Everyone is on about how Americans know how to tip and the English and Australians that have a problem with the gratuities.
I'm not convinced that fully describes the situation if travel agents are routinely advising customers on how to avoid paying the gratuities
-
At least three American travel agents have advised me that I should have auto-gratuities removed for one or more of my children when I get onboard. This is without any "prompting" on my part.
If that is the advice many first time cruisers are receiving then no wonder the topic keeps coming up.
I think the cruiselines just don't care whether the staff members get a per passenger payment or not because if they did options and ambiguities would have been cleared up long ago.

Lol
I have an impression of 2500 persons on spring break eager to make the most of the drinks packages
Anyone enjoying the new menu selections?
