  1. I had my cruise booked for October on the Symphony that got canceled. I had already paid for 4 devices for the Internet package. I had paid approximately $150 for the week.

I have rebooted on the Oasis for January and went on yesterday to book the internet package and they now want almost $45 per day ($315) for the same exact thing. It more than doubled.

Is there ever a rhyme or reason to their pricing and does it go down at certain times? Thank you!

Sailing on the Allure July 21, 2019. We were originally in an Owners Suite. Bid the minimum, $400 for 2, to upgrade to a Crown Loft. Bib was just accepted. Now sailing in L2 Crown Loft # 1732.

As Owners Suites are usually priced higher then Crown Lofts was surprised that we were able to bid on a Crown Loft. Crown Lofts are our preferred cabins.

Glad you got what you wanted!  Hopefully I will win my bid on your Owners Suite :)

  3. We are sailing on the Allure of the Seas on 7/21 out of Ft. Lauderdale.  I have not booked my flights home yet because they are so expensive.  There is only one cheap option and it's leaving out of West Palm Beach Airport at 9:50 am.  I keep asking myself the same question - am I crazy??  It's a 45 minute - 1 hour drive from the ship to the airport.  I have no idea what traffic is like there on a Sunday morning.  I know if we do self disembark and talk to the help desk prior, we should be one of the first people off, but OMG what stress that will be.

Go to the help desk and inform them about your flight. You will be put in a group to get off the ship early. They will give you the details of when and where to be at the location. As soon as customs clears the ship, you will get off.

Thank you so much!  I will definitely do that!  I appreciate your response.

  5. Hi we are on the Allure of the Seas July 31st and looking at booking a pretty early flight home. Do you know how the self disembark process is on a ship so large?

I was on MSC in January and thankfully had Yacht Club otherwise we would have never made it off the ship in time.  It was a crazy mess. Tyia!

I received notification last night that our RoyalUp bid was accepted. We're 24 days from sailing as of today and booked a suite guarantee for 4 passengers (parents + 2 kids) on Harmony OTS. We were assigned a GS on Deck 7 last weekend and got our RoyalUp email a couple of days later. All 4 person suites for our sailing are showing as sold out, but I had 5 choices for RoyalUp bids - an OS, CLS, Aqua 1-bed, Aqua 2-bed and Star Loft Suite.

I bid on only two categories - the OS and the Aqua 2-bedroom. The starting bid for Aqua 1-bed was too high, I don't care for the CLS balconies and the Star Loft Suite starting bid was very high for us.

Anyway, I received an email last night that our RoyalUp bid was accepted for the Owner's Suite - we got one on Deck 14 port side  (just below pool deck so noise is a slight concern, but we're pretty heavy sleepers). I bid $20 above the starting bid of $400 (so $840 total for the upgrade from GS to OS for 4 people; $210 pp); as we started with a great guarantee rate we ended up in an OS for what it would have cost to put all four of us in one balcony cabin (we booked late).

I was surprised our bid was accepted this early; seems like most ppl don't hear until shortly before sailing. Then again, I haven't read all 96 pages of this thread so I may be wrong about that. Good luck to the bidders still waiting!

Is the price only for the first two people? We have four people in the room and my husband put in two bids and I'm not sure if he did this right or not. He put in $200 pp to upgrade from OVB to JS and $500pp to upgrade from OVB to GS. Not sure if he did the right thing or not or if it will even allow two bids.

I'm not sure about the fan, but I used a white noise app with a realistic sounding oscillating fan option! Do you need the airflow or just the noise?

Mostly the noise, but sometimes the airflow.  How is the air in the rooms?

I am not sure about the fan.  The butlers are pretty amazing, just not sure if they would be able to get a fan.

There is no internet included with the Yacht Club you need to buy an internet package.  It would be best to buy it before you are on the ship as you will get a service charge added to your bill if you buy it on board.

Thank you Kevinrobedm!  I thought I read somewhere that it had internet.  Glad I asked.

Hoping someone can answer the question about the fan, as I can't sleep without one and dont want to waste the luggage space if I dont need to 🙂

  9. I apologize if these questions have already been asked - i have searched and am unable to find them.

I normally bring a portable fan with me on all my cruises, but this is the first time flying to my cruise and also sailing MSC.  If I request a fan from my butler, will they have any?

Also, is Internet included in the Yacht club and which plan?

    Thank you!!

Thru URCOMPED we have sailed 1x o Divina, 1x RC and 2x on  the Seaside and loved each sailing.  This is after 26 NCL comped cruises. Now its MSC for us. Free drinks in the casino,  no craps, free water at dinner, liquid soap in shower and sink, no conditioner,  casino is large enough with one side non smoking, and one side smoking.  Never felt overly crowded. Wonderful, beautiful ,clean ship, with great staff  food and entertainment. We loved it, sailing New Years on the Armonia

    Safe sailing

Thanks for the info!  We are sailing in January on our first comped cruise through URCOMPED on the Seaside.  We are trying to decide if we want to get a drink package and I was wondering if you are able to get drinks in the casino bar when the casino is closed for the free drinks in the casino?  Thanks for the other info!!

  11. Thank you. That's what I thought as well, but figured I would ask everyone's experiences. Last time I didn'[ have to worry about it because I had FTTF. This time I booked last minute and that was not available and check in is at 1:30. I usually like to be there around 11. Wont be happening this time :) quote=winddawn;54948031]The posts I've read on this board the past months have stated consistently Carnival is strictly enforcing check-in times according to priority status and stated policy. And that was also my experience last week in NOLA.

  12. I'm leaving at of Mobile. But I was more curious of what everyone else's experiences have been. I am aware if I'm priority and all I don't have to worry about it. I was more curious all around what everyone's experiences have been.

I am quite aware of what you're supposed to do. :)

quote=riffatsea;54947979]IF you are priority because you are Diamond or Platinum or if you have suite or FTTF you can arrive before your appointed time. Everyone else is supposed to arrive at your time or afterwards.

Why don't you tell folks where you are embarking as experiences at other embarkation ports will have nothing to do with your own experience.

  13. I just got off the Pride on the 23rd and u also sailed on her 4 years ago. I did like the 2.0 upgrades, but was disappointed with some of the food and the service definitely went downhill. Just my opinion, but I don't think I will be sailing on the Pride again. I do have to add that if you've never been to Half Moon Cay, it's soo worth it. Best place I've been to hands down.

A lot of people say that the food isn't good, not enough to do and just lousy overall, what was your experience been like and was there anything you didn't like or first time tips for someone thinking about Pride or any Spirit class ships?
  14. If there is a price drop and you email your PVP and they don't get back to you right away and the price drop is gone by the time they see the email, will you still get that lower price?

I'm just worried that she's off and won't get my email until after its gone and price has gone back up.

  15. I went online to make a payment today and it shows this:

    Carnival recommends

    Vacation Protection ?

    Add to guest for $0.00

If I click ADD, it shows that it adds it for $0.00. I know it costs money, so I'm trying to figure out why it's not showing me an amount. Has anyone ever seen this?
