  1. This is new.  I ordered the middle of August and it was only Pepsi products so I ordered some Pepsi Zero.  Now I have added Coke Zero.  I will make it work.  Also I just noticed that they have added a delivery fee for things ordered online so my question is did I just miss it before?  Haven’t cruise Carnival since October 2019.  Thanks

  2. I did flight for the first time in 15 years of cruising.  I received my flight confirmation almost 100 days before my flight and I know that is unusual but here is the thing because of the airport I fly out of the flight they got me would have been the same one I could have booked anyway.  So for me all good I don’t know if this is an oddity or not.

  3. RD64 very easy don’t participate which would include not reading about the people that do find enjoyment participating easy really.

I am looking forward to participating with my September cruise so thanks for the ideas.

  4. No that is not true “that so many have gone back to the old way” (so far NCL, Disney, Regent Seven Seas and Oceania) and at least NCL are receiving major complaints.  I was reading the complaints about NCL just the other day.  And to jump on the John Heard train he has been saying all along that Carnival is listening to the cruisers and keeping the e-muster that everyone really likes.  Further the Coast Guard is fine with it.

COVID-19 VACCINATION, BOOSTER AND TESTING REQUIREMENT

Please be advised that guests 5 years and older on this voyage are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet the following requirements:
    - have received their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before the beginning of the cruise and produce proof of vaccination at terminal check-in - a booster dose is required for guests 12 years and older whose final dose of an approved vaccine is older than 9 months (270 days) - produce acceptable proof of a negative viral COVID-19 test (medically observed PCR or antigen) taken within one day of embarkation. For required timing and details, visit https://*****/pcl_uktest
Travel requirements are subject to change and vary by destination. Check our CruiseHealth FAQs (https://*****/pcl_ukfaq), Princess communications and official government sites often for specifics for your voyage.

Does anyone have information on availability once in England?  With travel and flight time any test you took before you left would not meet the identified 1 day of embarkation.  Thanks for any clarification.

I'm assuming you only cruise the Caribbean? There's an entire world out there to see but you would have to get off the ship.

I have cruised other places but outside of that I have lived all over the world (retired Army) and traveled everywhere I have been.  I have lived and traveled on both coasts (northwest, desert, northeast and south) Midwest, Europe and Korea.  I have always taken advantage of my opportunities so now I know what I like the best and that is what I treat myself too.  I have found cruising to be what I enjoy because I can go so many places and only pack and un-pack once.  Also just FYI I prefer 10 plus days cruising at a time and before COVID I averaged 3 times a year.  So far I have a Hawaii and TA scheduled with things starting to get more regular.

  7. I am a strange cruiser now after cruising for over 10 years(mostly solo). I cruise because I absolutely love, love the water no matter the season or conditions (luckily I do not seem to get seasick), the peace of just hanging out on the balcony with my music, a good book and something to drink is the cherry on the sundae.  I do not get off the ship most of the time because been there and done that if I do it is to just walk around a bit with nothing specific.  I have had interior rooms that have had virtual windows that are really nice, I have turned on the TV putting on the ships cameras and listened to everything going on in port (listening to the dock side musicians) or just ocean sounds and have fully enjoyed myself.  I worked hard for what I have and to me the balcony is my present to myself so that is what I do.  BUT if it was cruising in an interior versus not cruising I would be in an interior in a heart beat as I can always find and special place on the ship somewhere.

  8. I tend to prefer the evening, like when I go to dinner for them to do up the room.  By habit and nature I tend to keep things neat and picked up so it is not an issue (lived in a lot of small places).  The other reason is that I love staying up late enjoying the quiet and peace of being on the ship so I tend to sleep in late.  I also don’t tie myself to excursions any more so that makes a difference.  I have actually had the stewards ask me if I slept in the room because my bed is made up the way they do it honestly it is just habit LOL as I sleep in my cabin every night.

I guess just make sure you have none when you enter your name.  That may not be the problem, of course.

I figured it out they literally only want the first name nothing else.  My passport has my middle initial so that was the problem.  Thanks for the help.

  10. I have not had much success so far with the App but it might be because of my cruise being one of the redeployment cruises.  The issue I am trying to figure out is for some reason the App does not like my first name on my passport through manual entry or scanning and I don’t know why, well I will keep trying.  Could you share the online version of the app?  Thanks

  11. This is a question that I have always watched the answers.  My experience overall have not been positive when it comes to TAs and I have tried more that once.  As far as PVPs I have tried them on multiple cruise lines with very little success UNTIL this last time I actually got a Princess PVP that was responsive and helpful what a nice change.  I will continue to use this PVP.  I guess the bottom line is you either handle it yourself or keep trying until you finally find that right fit.  Good luck.

on a side note right now things are so fluid it is like riding a roller coaster so don’t hold your breath because it is going to most likely change AGAIN LOL.  😀😃😂

  12. Actually this whole redeployment is a mess on so many levels.  Honestly I don’t think anyone is going to get “good” answers until April 7th when Princess is supposed to release all the redeployed ships.

As far as the person looking for booking in 2024 I wish you Good Luck hope you are treated better than what is happening to the customers now being moved from Ruby to Royal.

  13. Hi I want to say that things do change all the time. I am one of those cruisers who have tried Carnival, Celebrity, RCCL, HAL, and Princess.  It depends what I am looking for both in atmosphere and itinerary as to what line I start leaning towards.  Each line has it’s plus and minus just go with what works for you at the time.  I absolutely love cruising and have totally enjoyed every cruise in the long run.  I agree that sometimes it is the little things that can make a difference between a nice cruise or a great cruise but it is not going to stop me from cruising.  Enjoy what you got when you got it makes me happy 😃😃😃

  14. Yes Ruby is going to be ported in Galveston for a season with a Panama Cruise leaving and returning to San Francisco so many people are happy about this including me. 🤫 ssssssh but it seems that Galveston is becoming a prime port for multiple lines they have even built a new terminal, two lines are even planning on putting brand new ships there in the next 2 years, WOW.  I think it is great alternative to Florida.

  15. No problem with the once per day but it will be my choice as it is my vacation.  I am someone who naturally picks up after myself to the point of making my bed (habit what can I say) BUT I do tend to wonder around more at night which results in sleeping in so it would need to be an evening make-up.  I completely and totally respect the cabin steward but they have to have some flexibility as well.  The comment of one of the stewards saying they get off at 1:30 so their son could not sleep in honestly is a concern for me.

  16. I like to put cruise cash in my account before I even go and it is paid off so I have no surprises. They have let me put up to $500 which is fine by me. I go and relax and have no spending (cash) or credit card surprises. If I do not use all of it i cash it out while playing in the casino.

  17. When I cruising I can totally change my sleep habits so I talk to the RS when I first meet them and tell them that I usually like the late cleaning because I will usually go to dinner but sometimes I fall asleep in the afternoon so I put the do not disturb and everything is fine. I am a neat person who learned to live in a 10x10 space so for me it is usually trash and towels. No matter which line I have been on they have always been accommodating and they have never touched anything that was not towels, trash, dirty dishes or changing the sheets. Good luck and enjoy

  18. I have been cruising solo since 2008 and have done NCL, Carnival. RCCL, Celebrity. I currently have HAL and Princess booked. I have no problem with interior rooms so I have done balcony as well as interior. I have done the Studio on NCL and as a solo I think the room is big enough and it feel comfortable and there is the lounge. One of the things you have to do is compare. There are times that you can get a nicer room for 2 which gives you more room for not that much difference in price. I book anywhere from 1 year to 18 months out so I have plenty of time to pay it off without feeling a crunch. Then I go and enjoy because I do not have after vacation cost shock. Sometimes if you are really flexible you could also check last minute cruises but you generally do not have the same selection options for room choices. Personal opinion is look for at least a 7 day to give you time to find out if you like it and it gives you time to actually relax. As far as finding someone to cruise with I tried it once with someone I thought was a really good friend and would not do it again. Especially for me cruising is my time to do what I want when I want. I have had no problem meeting people if I want but can be alone if that is what I prefer. I have truly never had a bad cruise. Good luck on your search and enjoy each line has its pluses and negatives you just have to fine what is right for you. Variety is right for me.
