The covering over the Sunset bar on the Summit (identical ship to the Millennium) is slats so there is space between them and you can see down into the bar and if you are neat the balcony railing people can look up at you. There are no cabins above

There isn’t much cover on the balcony so I don’t think sitting out there in rain would be pleasant

Thanks for your reply. Doesn’t sound like a good match for us. In general I do love the aft cabins. We do like more of a covering on the balcony.
    thanks

We also prefer 1138 or 1141 over 1140 because the better view and because 1140 has the flag in front of the balcony.

I realize this text is old, but it does pertain to a future cruise I have planned on the Millie - cabin 1138, 1141, or 1133.  Two questions - 1) do you have shade with those cabins or can you sit out if its raining?, 2) when looking at a picture of the back of the ship - it looks like there is a sail over the sunset bar that may block the view of one of the above cabins.

    Thanks,

    Hi -

I used Best Shore Trips in April 2017 for a group of 11 off Oceania Nautica.   This company had at least four other private groups off the ship that day.

We went to Petra and Wadi Rum.   Price was $185 per person including entrance fees to Petra and Wadi Rum and a boxed lunch which we ate in the minivan enroute from Petra to Wadi Rum.   Total tour time was around 12 hours.   We had a guide and a driver.  Payment due at end of tour.

Everything was great.  Preplanning with their office was effortless.    A magical day.

    Thanks so much Joe! -

Annual policies offer good medical but little if any for cancellation or travel risks. Allianz does offer some coverage, but the maximum is $15,000.  Many pair an annual plan with a premium credit card for the travel insurance they provide. Just be sure you understand the pre-existing conditions provision and other limitations before you rely on it.

    Thank you

  5. Hi, thanks for your response. We have a lot of travel scheduled this year - if all goes well. Approximately 12 cruises and a land trip all outside of the USA. I’m asking if it would be better for an annual tvl insurance plan this year vs to insure each trip? If so to an annual plan- any suggestions on companies to check out? Thank you again.

  6. One time in a suite, the retreat invited us to the helo pad on the eclipse as we approached San Juan while serving us Champagne and apps.  Absolutely beautiful.  Were sailing again in November and had questions about what other people request from the retreat? One time on Seaborne , we requested popcorn while watching a movie in the cabin.  They brought it…

  7. I'll be posting Inaugural menus on my blog at kascapades.wordpress.com

Keep an eye on it :D

Hi Scratchrat- your blog is excellent. I will be on the May 14 Vista Voyage - and would really like to know what the wine menus are - can you blog on them as well? We are trying to decide on purchasing the Cheers package and the wine menu may be a deciding factor. Thanks! And I hope you have a great cruise...
