We headed back to the room and Sakari had been begging to go swimming. We figured it wouldn't be too crowded and decided it was a good choice. I mean really what options did we have since it's the first night of the cruise and for SOME REASON Carnival does not have the kids club open on the first night of the cruise on any of their ships. I seriously do not understand why??? Can anyone answer this?
We headed to the main pool and I was correct, not many people swimming tonight.
Sakari tells me "Watch me do this taranabow"
Um...taranabow? LOL Never heard of such a thing but we took this opportunity to teach her the right word. We ask her if she knew what a cannon was (especially since we seen so many in Bermuda) and then told her the ball that comes out of it =cannon ball, which is what she resembles when she's in a ball. I'm still cracking up about this. This reminds me of those songs you grew up singing thinking they were saying certain words only to find out 40 years later that it said something else.
Tonight would also be the first night that Sakari ever learned to dive. It only took her 2 tries and she had it. Now she just needs to learn to keep the legs straight, point the toes and tuck her head.
A video (below) of her diving a few times.
We were on the same cruise. My son is in the pool in the video.
I recall your door. We were on the 6th floor but spend a couple hours doing laundry on the 2nd. As for doing laundry - we were gone 18 nights/19 days as we also spent time in Orlando before and after the cruise.

It's not on the hub>

Do they post the daily schedule of activities in the kids clubs?

Great review! We are doing the same cruise on the Breeze at the end of March. Also doing several days in Disney after the cruise.
I haven't figured out how to get from the car rental drop off to the pier yet, Which car rental outlet did you use?

Thanks! Nice to know they do some type of easter activity.
I may bring some small gifts for the boys for Easter Sunday.

We'll be on the Breeze over Easter. Does anything special happen on Sunday?
Trying to decide if the Easter bunny visits cruise ships or not. My 9 year seems to think he does.

I realized the OP has made their decision but responses do help those of us still debating.
This is our first Carnival cruise but we have a few other cruises on other lines under our belt.
I was tempted by FTTF but decided against it.
First we are not the type to bring huge carry on bags. Probably be one or two small beach bags between the 4 of us. Not sure why people are lugging around huge bags that they are talking about?
Second is the Canadian dollar being so low. $60 x 4 people is like $300 for us. Insane! We could do couple excursions with that.
It would be great to have our room ready but I would rather have 90 minutes of inconvenience over an 8 night cruise than spend $300.
I don't see us going to GS much but if we do - oh well. I only recall going once on our last 3 cruise and that was to get change for the tolls back to Orlando. LOL.
As for luggage during lunch. Kind of a pain but grab a table and have one person stay with the luggage while the rest of the party grab their food.
We don't have tenders on this cruise.

We have ES booked for March 26th Breeze. We are three people in a balcony cabin, category 8D. Yesterday I went on the fare viewer and noticed the ES rate was down over $150 total for the cruise before taxes etc. I called them and they gave me the webpage on Carnival to go onto to fill out a price reduction.
I filed it in, sent it and within 5 minutes I got an email saying that the rate I have is the cheapest so they could not do anything. I again looked at the fare viewer and then called Carnival and explained the situation.
Not only did they do the price reduction over the phone but the rate ended up being even cheaper than online, a total of $230 savings.
I would persist and call them again as you might get someone that can actually help.
We're on the same cruise - March 26th Breeze!
So far we have had 4 or 5 price drops. For the first one I was able to fill in the form and got a positive result back. After that everytime I filled in a form I got declined. I would email the address given and very quickly get a positive reply with an adjustment to our price.
Not sure why this is but its very frustrating.

I'll bring my own conditioner because some hotels don't have it and just use the shampoo supplied on the cruise ship.
Thanks again!
-
Thanks! I'm not picky about shampoo so usually don't pack it and just use what is provided in the hotel/cruise ship.
-
Does Carnival supply shampoo/conditioner, etc in the shower?

I booked the Breeze for next winter and didn't realize the waterslides and rope course will rarely be open for the kids. I understand about the wind and the rope course but not the slides.
Are they ever open on sea days? Or just rarely?

Sea Trek

It's listed under all the excursions where you can filter by destination or activity on the Carnival website.
And our cruise isn't for almost 10 months so I doubt it's fully booked yet.
-
There is an excursion we wanted to do in St Maarten. However when I go into my Cruise Planner it's not listed. We are in port from 8-5 that day.
Any idea why?

We really wanted to do the Sea Trek in St. Maarten but it doesn't seem to be showing up in my cruise planner for our Carnival Cruise.
The ship is in port from 8-5.
Any idea why?

We actually preferred RPR over HRH.
The stay at HRH was in early January and it was cold so didn't get much time to use the pool at all.
-
Thanks! I knew about the lack of FPs at Cabana Bay. We have stayed at HRH and RPR before.

Does anyone have any feedback on doing this jointly?
Does the transfers go to the Fort Lauderdale or just Cape Caniveral?
Is there any actually savings booking it as a package?
-
Never besides JR. First of all we travel with children and the specialty restaurants aren't family friendly.
And to be honest I hate formal dining. Despise it actually.
By the time we pay for the cruise, travel from Canada, expeditions, drink package, etc I really don't want to pay more for food.
-
We don't travel until next March. I've booked dining but just wondering if there is much else I can do besides contemplate excursions.

How far in advance of the cruise do these open up?
Carnival wifi and Pokemon Go app...

Lots of folks wandering around ship looking at their Hub apps. Guess they are all evil and should be wearing life jackets. LOL.
