  1. Hi guys, so Im booking a summer cruise on Harmony & I have 2-19 year olds/2-21 year old college students with us and they love to stay up late but sleep in the morning. So there aren't a lot of cabins left but there are few together CENTRAL PARK balcony 14647 and 14649 etc are these very noisy from chairs fro pool its over kids area etc before 11am?? And are the balcony OCEANVIEW rooms on 14 below pool noisy in morning? I don't want grumpy college kids! Thank you!

  2. Prices continue to creep up with the cutting of free food and uping charges such as room service, johnny rockets, specialty restaurants that actually serve decent food, and now the price per person is going up to check out the Harmony of the Seas next summer prices in June and July an ocean balcony is now over $2000 per person when you add all the additional charges it comes way over $5000 for a couple for 7 days, the cruise industry is outpricing itself and will continue to lose money as people like me will continue alternative vacations.

  3. agreed with original poster, we just got off Oasis and the same things with couple changes each night and if you eat in the MDR every night it gets old plus the quality isn't very good. Royal has so many specialty restaurants that there is where you get the better quality food and service but we refuse to pay these higher and higher up charges when food is included in the price of the cruise!

  4. We had large group with boardwalk balconies which we found fine, rooms a little snug especially for some that had 3 in the room when the bed opened there was no room! Rooms were quiet never had problems with noise at all!

Embarkation - we arrived at noon which seemed to be peak time as lines were long they did move fast but to get through security took the longest, whole process took one hour we walked on ship at 1pm just as they announced rooms open!

Food - generally was good not great, we had major service issues in the dining room with very slow service and not getting items asked for etc and slow drink service so thats always a bummer and thought the food was just ok many times it was cold and bland. Chicken cordon blue for instance was dry needed a sauce so did the steaks etc. quality of lobster was low very small and chewyand thought most quality was low, need more variety also! We were on deck 4 MDR and were not impressed & this is big part of us cruising with a group so this was our most disappointing area!

Windjammer we found to be good! Needs to be bigger as its very crowded on sea days! Desserts not so good in windjammer but fruit was always delicious! We got to wipe out cafe 3 minutes before closing for breakfast and the omelette man would not make us anything thats not quite the service we expect!

We didn't like that after 9pm most food venues were closed like windjammer, park cafe, boardwalk hotdogs, there basically only is the promenade for same small sandwiches (didn't care for the cheese used on sandwiches) or pizza and we are not really pizza eaters! We called room service 2 different nights and they never picked up at all so didn't get to do that! The boardwalk hotdogs are really good!!

Entertainment - On oasis we never saw or really barely heard from cruise director and nothing was announced but art auction! Wished for more deck parties, night time parties, live music, pool parties and activities. With 3 sea days we wish there were more group activities, lines for flow rider and zip line etc were always pretty long! Cats we did enjoy but was way too long. Come Fly with me was production show it was ok something to do! Comedians were great but such a small venue the lines were so long if you didn't have reservations you were out! Do the comedy shows in the larger theater! People love comedy!! We never did see mention of QUEST maybe its not on the Oasis or maybe we missed it.

70s show is great but so very crowded they should do it maybe on 2 nights cause its always fun!!

Solarium on one night turned into a club with Dj which was fun but at 11:30 p, shouldn't allow 16 plus it should be over 18 only!

Internet worked great just wish they had the texting app like carnival which you pay $5 for week and can text everyone on the boat! The Royal app was not helpful at all for activities we barely used it!

Kids Club - was amazing, our kids loved it better then disney!!! Huge plus to the oasis for this!!!!

Pool Areas were very crowded we had 3 hot and sunny sea days! Miss activities at the pool you find on smaller ships and the lazy river for kids was so small that should be made bigger cause most kids didn't play long in the splash areas not much to do but loved the lazy river and the pool! Also one whole side the side that had tables and chairs were all smoking areas, wish they had some tables and chairs on other side or in non smoking areas!! Also need more bathrooms outside by the pools only 1 on each side! Pool deck is super slippery but there always wiping it down!

Bar Service was great, bartenders were friendly and worked hard to get everyone served & drinks were great!!

Overall we had a great time, OASIS is great ship but it is in need of updates, our couch was pretty dirty so were the rugs and many sinks in bathrooms were out of service etc but we enjoyed the Oasis of the Seas but theres room for improvement! This was our true experience Im sure everyone has different ones!

  5. before midnight I don't think you should do anything unless it seems someones in danger, but making love on vacation is what vacay is all about!! Put your music on or tv up you shouldn't be able to hear through that. However at 2:30 am if there extremely loud for long time and it seems that its escalated a phone call should be made. But remember your on a group public cruise with thousands of other people who are on vacation too and everyone is having fun so lighten up and if the noise is extremely loud after midnight then call for help! What else is there to do????

  6. Used to one pool on a ship, going on Oasis this summer & see that there are several different pools/pool areas. Besides the childrens area whats the difference in the pools, where do most of the sea day pool activities take place or does each pool have different activities, music etcFinally are there any tables by the pool, my grandma has knee/back problems and likes to sit in the pool area even second deck if theres shade? Thank you!!!!!!

  7. my friend had the same problem, huge lines to get off and only porters which you pay for had priority and this caused backups & delays as only 2 lines for others, I believe she was told that the port is under new management and this has been issue the last couple weeks, so those who cruised earlier may have escaped the massive lines and wait. Call Royal Caribbean and complain its the only way things will change and with summer coming its going to be bad!

  8. Ok I'm confused, new to trip insurance a lot of what i read on these boards say that if I only put $1 or 0 in trip costs the pre-existing waiver is invalid even if within 21 day period required. However I talked to Insure my trip and they tell me if i put in 0 I'll only have the medical and medical portion (which is all i want for family of 5) and it DOES NOT void the pre existing clause (if brought in the time period) except for one company (CSA i think) has anyone experienced this as I seem to get conflicting information, THANK YOU!!!

  9. Hi everyone, so deciding on cruise insurance for our royal caribbean july cruise mostly if medical issue arises on board, I read that some say to get Primary its less hassle pays better but I found good plan for us that"s secondary. Which is better to have in case of emergency on board?? THANKS!!
