Is there a list anywhere of the different food events/themes on carnival? I've never seen the chocolate buffet on any of my previous 3 cruises. I'm so happy to know what night to look for it this time. Thank you!

It was sold out near the date we will be there in a few weeks. I accidentally clicked on the wrong date &
It was booked. Luckily, our date still had openings. The deposit isn't refundable though, so I'd def wait until closer to be sure you don't change your mind or have something come up.

You should see your status on your documents and it should say Platinum if you will reach it during the cruise. Our son was red and his docs said gold which we thought was a mistake but it was because he was turning gold during the cruise. Enjoy your Platinum perks!
Thanks for the info!! I'll hit gold on my cruise coming up & thought if have to wait until the next one for the perks.

Maybe I should change our reservation. I don't really care for buffets, but it looks so much nicer than nachi & has more amenities (kayaks, etc).

Has anyone tried collapsible water bottles? They are very similar to run runners.

I have some size large dresses if anyone's interested. Wore them a few years ago on my cruise & one new w/tags. Sadly, I now need 20/22. Have been looking for a dress for my cruise in a month.

I went to panchos the first time & nachi Cocum last time. Both were very good. We are planning mr. Sanchos this time. Any opinions on their food?

Christina, your dress is really beautiful. I don't do sleeveless, but if I did I'd order that in a second.
Thank you! I need to have the straps and bottom altered to fit. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but i was happy to finally find something that fit and was reasonable in price.

Here is the dress that I just bought today. I had a heck of a time finding something in my size (16). It was frustrating, but I am happy that I finally found something. I need to get it hemmed and have the straps taken in. (oh and I found it marked down from $150 to $45 at Dillards - huge plus)

I've never really noticed a lot of shorts or hats in the MDR. Then again, I'm not studying people that closely. More focused on who I'm with and the food than being insulted by others' choice of attire. I've paid a little more attention on elegant nights to get a better feel for how dressed up everyone is, but really love that there is a range of dress. I felt like everyone could be comfortable. I've worn from a normal, somewhat casual dress to a long gown & felt in place every time. I'd prefer this than somewhere that had strict super fancy dress codes. It's pretty clear that carnival is a much more casual cruise than a lot of other lines. Sounds like you'd be more comfortable on a different line.
