  1. I was on the Seaside for the April 19th 4 day cruise. It was bad, really bad the first day. I'd brought a group on this cruise (we had a total of 5 cabins) and I was so worried at what I'd gotten us into. Over 3 hours in line to board, dinner running an hour late (we had to stand outside the door then when they let us in the previous diners were still at the table eating), no room service offered, bars severely understaffed, so many of the staff seemed new and confused. But as the cruise went on things seemed to improve. Everyone ended up having a great time in spite of the rocky start to the cruise. But we were a pretty easy going group. There were some very unhappy passengers onboard. It just didn't seem the staff had their shiza together at the beginning of the cruise. I felt bad for them though, they were doing their best, they were just under staffed.

  2. We were on this same cruise! Just a heads up...no breakfast room service was available ( at least for our package fantasia). Our room steward said this was the first cruise after repositioning and that might explain it but he was unsure why. One of our friends tried to order room service twice for dinner and was able to get through one of those times but her food was never delivered. No deal breaker there was plenty of yummy food at the buffett and dining room. It's just to give you a heads up on that. Other than the crazy long onboarding line (3 hours) the rest of the cruise was fabulous! Y'all will have a great time!

I was assured by NCL that they would make up our third bed and put it away every day.  From what I'm reading that is not always the case.  It is very frustrating. We are 3 women 53 to 73.  There will be some mobility issues if the bed is left out all day.

The 3rd bed was for our 19 yr old. None of us have mobility issues. I think in your situation they will make an exception. I certainly hope so at least.

With just my hubby I think we could live with once daily (although no towel animals is actually a big negative)..

However, our upcoming cruise we have 3 in the cabin and will need the couch made up and put away every day for sanity and to access the balcony (my dad is elderly and couldn’t walk around a crowded pulled out couch easily to access the balcony for Alaska)….  They probably need to prioritize pulling the beds (and dry towels also from reading the thread)….  We thought we would try NCL for the first time but I am fearing it is a mistake with less service for a higher daily service charge.
I hope they reconsider the change very quickly and remedy it.

We just got off the Dawn. We had 3 in a tight balcony cabin. Our Stewart told us he could not pull the sofa out and also fold it up. We would have to do one and he would do the other. The problem was he made our room mid afternoon. We would fold the bed away in the morning and he would unfold it around 3 pm. We were able to step on it to get to the balcony but I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. If it was just the 2 of us the once a day service would have been fine with us. We even offered $$$ but he apologized and said he was not allowed to come back in later to unfold the bed. I felt bad for him he seemed so overworked.

  5. Does anyone know if you can reserve a parking spot without prepaying? My spouse is a disabled vet (with DV tags) and I understand parking at the port is free but was unsure if we can reserve a spot or just show up. We are considering valet too and was wondering if we would just pay the difference in price. Thank you in advance!

  6. I would totally do this!!! I hope it is available on the Solstice next May. We are in our early 40's so maybe it is a generational think? Old school rap...yeah boyyyyyy!

  7. Dale,

Could tell me about what it cost per person for your tour in Tunisia? We are stopping there for one day on our cruise and with a family of 5 cost is a factor- if we can do a private tour or an on our own tour (I'd prefer a private). Thanks!
