  1. Our group of 6 pax recently cruised to NZ on the QM2, overall we were very disappointed with the cruise.Accommodation was reasonable in a Balcony, bathroom has a-shower curtain,Pillows were not good and limited choice.Food was very average and in the Britannia Restaurant it was very ordinary, the last night on board was the best meal, service in the restaurant was very pedestrian.Kings Court food was the ok for Brekky, terrible at lunch time ( same burgers and sandwiches everyday)and at night time the pasta and pizza ( thick bases yuck!)were the same .Service in the Kings court was hard to find. In the Corinthian room they serve food but it is the same choice Everyday!Beverages are expensive.Entertainment was reasonably good.

The Queens room was nice and Afternoon tea was well done .

Dress code was no problem for our group , but not always policed , Cunard should stay on top of the dress code.

NZ ports were great and the weather was very warm.

My cruising background is almost 600 days on many cruise lines, but Cunard for the basic passengers is not as good value ,as Holland America or Celebrity in my opinion .

  3. Can anyone assist with the following we are booked on the QM2 and there are 3 THEMED Formal nights, the question is what do you wear if it is Themed as I will be wearing a Tuxedo and my wife will be blinged.

One Theme is Masked , so no problem there, the next one is Black and White I guess the Tux qualifies? And the next one is South Pacific, do wear a Hawaiian shirt under my suit ??

    Any help is appreciated.

  4. A group of six adults are looking to book a three night hotel stay for

  5. Thank you all for the response. I knew this community would be over the moon with the news of a third ship and more destinations! I got up at 4am to post this, so you'd be the first to know

Now I'm going back to bed for a couple hours...see you in a few!

I think they should have built a new ship and not buy another old one.

  6. I was on the Veendam for 48 days with 10 other friends in Feb 2017 , fantastic crew, good food , yes it is an older ship but well maintained. But we all had a great time and loved the Veendam, Personally I have done over 500 days on many various cruise lines , so hopefully I know what I am talking about.

I have been on a Seabourn cruise where the ship was only 4 months and 15 staterooms flooded, it happens!

Remember it is like living in a small village and repairs and maintenance goes on.

  8. Hi, I have travelled on Seabourn and Silversea , and recently on Ponant, Ponant is the the worst cruise line I have ever experienced and I have traveled over 450 days on various cruise ships. Check the reviews on C/C particularly Le Soleal , bad food , terrible officers, no entertainment etc.... .Looking forward to cruising with the best all round luxury line Seabourn in August!
