  1. Highly recommend Robert - World RT.  We found him featured in a United Airlines magazine by United's CEO several years ago.  We've used him 4 times and he is incredible. He can show you local neighborhoods, the typical tourist sites (you've got the right sites with the church and park), local restaurants, and so much more.  He'll tailor the tour based on what you want. Great rate and always exceeded our expectations!

  2. We're trying to arrange an excursion with Mallorca Wine Tours while in port for the day on the Allure. They advertised they'd pick up and drop off from any location but now they are telling us to take a taxi from the ship (RCL Allure of the Sea) to El Auditorium. Does anyone know how much the taxi will cost and if there are lots of taxis at the port waiting to take people on short rides? Is there a RCL shuttle that could take us and if RCL charges? I've read several reviews about Julian with Mallorca Wine Tours but no one mentions having to pay / take a taxi to meet them to start the tour (and it's a private tour costing 125 euros per person for 4 hours). Just doesn't feel right. Comments, advice, suggestions?????

  3. We're cruising and coming into the Civitavecchia port for the day on Sept 10. We've been to and all around the Rome area 5 times so this time we wanted to do something different. Does anyone know of local vineyards or wineries within 1 to 1 1/2 hours of the port? We also enjoy visiting old historic towns and villages walking around little stores, restaurants, etc. to experience the real feel of Italy.

  4. Nice compare. We just booked the Royal Suite on the Adventure of the Seas. It was a tough decision between the Oasis or the AOS. We really wanted to go on the Oasis but a couple of the family members couldn't get the week off for the ports we liked on the itinerary so we went with AOS. Glad to hear Ryno is a great concierge. Hope he's there in May for our cruise. Rami is the concierge on Oasis and is the best of the best we've ever experienced.

We saw this Royal Suite has a spa / hot tub. How was it? Is there a mini fridge in the suite?

Your comments about WiFi were also insightful. Was it bad throughout the ship or just in certain areas? My husband also trades and access is really important.

  5. We have always received a welcome email from the concierge. We've sailed multiple times on Serenade of the Seas over in Europe as well as Adventure of the Seas in the Caribbean. Rami on Serenade of the Seas was by far the absolute best concierge we've ever had! He's now on the Oasis. It's good to establish that relationship early on / from the first email. The help and guidance from the concierge is invaluable!

  6. We are booked on AOS leaving San Juan May 3. It's a family vacation and includes grandkids - ages 9 mos, 3 yrs and 9 yrs grandsons. Is WiFi strong enough throughout the ship that we could use a web cam to keep an eye on the 9 month old while he's sleeping and we're in one of the other cabins?

Also, any experience of feedback with organized / supervised activities offered for the 3 and 9 year olds?

  7. My husband and I are going to Venice in September as a part of a RCL 12 day cruise. It has always been my dream location to visit and although I see lots of postings saying it's easy to DIY tour, I'm looking for that local who can tell us about different points of interest and take us to the "must see must do" spots. Any suggestions?
