  1. For me, it’s the ability to do what I want when I want. No compromising! I enjoy having a travel companion but when I don’t it’s equally fine. And most people on ships are very friendly so I always find someone to talk to throughout the day.

  2. can you tell me about this option? Cruising in November with 18 yo and 15 yo. Tropicana is just out of our league. Hoping for the same vibe just a little cheaper. Any price' date=' transportation tips you could give would be much appreciated.[/quote']

The tour bus picked us up at 8:20 and we were at the hotel in minutes. They had some of the performers in a ball room and introduced them to us. We were able to ask them questions about the show and their careers. There was time to look around the hotel a bit - it has an interesting history - then we went as a group into the showroom where we sat together. The room seats probably about 250 and it's air conditioned. We each got a free mimosa. The show is in Spanish but enjoyable - costumes are great. Not sure how teens would feel about it. Show ended at 11:30 and we were back to ship by midnight. Can't remember price but it was an NCL tour so should be on their web site.

  3. We're just off the Sky and Mom needed the same level of assistance. (She is 90.) we dropped off luggage, walked across the street (where an officer stopped traffic for us and encouraged her to take her time) and walked into the building immediately in front of us (both steps and a ramp). Security is right there and then a short hallway till you get to the NCL employee managing wheelchairs. You give him your name and cabin number and sit down. People are taken on to the ship in the order you check in. It was as smooth a process as I've seen. Let NCL know in advance support is needed. Then you will also get instructions in your cabin about how to get wheelchair support for excursion days.

Hope this helps! Not sure what to tell you about friend with no ability to walk short distances.
