The T&Cs clearly say that you are limited to one entree...... zero mention of any limits to apps, sides and desserts thus there is no limit.

Next time, print out the T&Cs and ask them to point out where the limit is mentioned.  I've never had an issue getting multiple sides when I point this out.

    What are the T&Cs?

  2. Obstructed view cabins are generally window cabins on the lifeboat decks, so you have a window that looks onto the rows of lifeboats and a deck walkway, rather than directly over the side.

Thanks Jill, I realize that but I know some cabins have less of an obstructed view than others and was hoping someone would post pics.

  3. Would it be cheaper to take the ferry to/from Hamiton and then taxi to and from the resort?

We took taxi to resort but they suggested taking taxi to Hamilton and then ferry back to ship. Less expensive and we had time to shop in Hamilton before taking ferry back to ship. Resort will call taxi for you. Very enjoyable day.

  4. Great info - we will be there in May on the Royal Princess.

Decided against the tour to Seville as we did not want to sit on a bus for half the day....

We will be on the Royal with you. Canceled our tour to Seville since it will be very crowded the day we are there because of a holiday. We will probably do Cadiz DIY, looks like many interesting things to see & do.

    See you on board :)

  5. The set price for 39 euro from the port to the airport is an even better deal in early hours as it includes the port and airport surcharges and up to 4 bags. They do not charge more prior to 8 am as the metered taxis from the city do.

The driver should put on fare T4 on the meter right from the port and not add any surcharges. Fares are posted in the rear right window if you are unsure.

Early flights only become problematic on dates when they implement 'enhanced security measures' and as a passenger there is no way for you to know when they will do this as the dates are random and not on a regular schedule.

Thank you for info. That would be 39 euro per taxi not person? Does the taxi take credit card? How much of a delay would be caused by "enhanced security measures" and how often are they scheduled?

  6. Also depends whether you prefer swimming in ocean or bay and whether you prefer being surrounded by hundreds of others and being inches away from others on the beach or being on a quiet peaceful beach with plenty of space.

  7. Going down the stairs to the beach is not too bad, it's climbing back up that's a killer. But I took my time climbing up to go to lunch. A nice gentleman did give me a ride in a golf cart to the restaurant from the top of the beach stairs. Then after a delicious lunch on the patio (wore my coverup over bathing suit), I opted to not go back down to the beach but stayed at the gorgeous pool for the rest of the day.

  8. Hi there - just reading about this place. We are going to Bermuda on the breakaway 9/20. Would to spent the day here- 9/23 would be perfect. Can you tell who I reach out to - to book? Do you know the best transportation to get thee from the port? Thank you for any help

You can email them to reserve day pass. You do not have to pay until you get there, cash or credit card.

We had a wonderful day there at the end of August. The beach is beautiful and not crowded at all. The whole resort is gorgeous and we had a delicious lunch with glass of wine. Staff was lovely. My family of 5 adults took a taxi/van from the dockyards. Going home we had Coco Reef call a cab, which we took to Hamilton (much shorter ride), did some shopping and then took ferry to Dockyards. Fabulous day!

  9. I am assuming you mean Gilbraltar? I suggest you find out what you want to do first?? A very popular option is to go to the mt, and see the sights, caves, apes, tunnels. You don't need a "guide", all you need is the transportation. If you walk into town, and down the main shopping street a few blocks, in the square, there are taxis lined up to take you there for 25 euros. Includes admissions, and a fraction of the ship tour costs.

I realize this post is over 5 years old. Has anyone visited Gibraltar recently. Are the taxis still available and is the fare per person or per car? What is the charge now.

  10. John Bulls response is spot on

I would add that seeing the monkeys at the top of the cable car isnt like seeing them on the taxi tour where its more open and generally there are more monkeys. Your driver will probably know the calmest monkeys and in our case we all posed with one on our shoulders. At the cable car top station in May a young girl off our cable car was bit by a monkey and paramedics were called to take her to hospital. Its a trek to the cable car (or taxi / bus) and you risk long queues or closure due to winds.

I would take the very reasonable taxi tour (includes Monkeys, Cave, Siege Tunnels) and ask to be let out at the tunnels on the return. Probably little in it cost wide compared to DIY.

Can you pick up taxi tour at the pier? What is the approximate cost per person?

  11. The OP mentioned R516 - a sideways interior with one small wall against the blank area across the hall from you.

My bad. I read it wrong. That's what getting old does to you. LOL

Steelers36 is correct. Psouthcomb, I see you are sailing this Oct. If I don't get an answer before then, would you be so kind and post back here if you think R516 is not a good cabin? TIA
