  1. Princess owns some lodges and railcars here in Alaska, but you do not have to be on their cruisetour to book them. There's nothing offered by any of the cruiselines that can be book independently. So instead of the pre-packaged tours offered by the cruiselines, would you consider booking independently and putting together your own great trip?

Thank you for your reply! I had thought about it, but truthfully, I am trying to make it easier on myself with a packaged tour. I will be traveling with my parents and in-laws and I think it is less stress if someone else is responsible for connections etc.

  2. Hello,

We are considering an Alaska cruise with the land extension including Fairbanks. We have the most status with Celebrity. However, we have been told Princess "owns" the land portion of Alaska and we should cruise Princess over Celebrity and Holland America. Please share your thoughts regarding the land portion extension of the trip. Any help, experience, suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you!

  3. This March/April we took a the Panama Canal cruise on the Infinity and our day with Dan and Berit Wick ofFriends For Columbia, was the highlight of our trip. We had a group of 16 people and everyoneagreed that the tour far exceeded our expectations. Dan and Berit were waiting for us at the portand off we went for a day full of information, fun, and unforgettable heartwarming experiences with the people of Rafael Nunez Barrio. We were greeted at the foundation with livemusic and dancing performed by the senior citizens and children of thefoundation. Of course we got to joinin. We also had the opportunity to playgames with the children, learn a little about Colombia’s unique languageexpressed through hand movements, speak with young adults who grew up in thebarrio, visit the foundation’s school. We also visited a home of a woman participating in the “patio garden”program. The foundation has helpedpeople start gardens in their backyards, creating successful businesses thatsell produce and herbs to local restaurants.

We ended our day with a walk through Cartagena’s OldTown, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Danand Berit introduced us to some of the local candies and treats.

The work that Dan, Berit and the foundation has done istruly impressive. It was exciting, special and meaningful to be a part of it for the day. I highly recommend you take advantage of thisopportunity and book a tour with Friends For Colombia

  4. Haku Tours, represented by Alexandra, was a pleasure to work with. She was extremely professional, kind and accommodating through the planning process. Alexandra was able to customize a tour that appealed to first time visitors to Lima as well as well traveled repeat visitors. We were supposed to be on the cruise now but had to cancel due to a medical emergency. However, based on the great planning process I am sure the tour would have been wonderful and I would not hesitate to use Haku Tours the next time I am traveling to the Lima area. I also want to mention that they support local non-profits and do a lot of good in the community.
