We will be in Bonaire next month on the Horizon and I was planning on renting a bike to ride around the island. My main planned stop was the Donkey Sanctuary. Has anyone ever been there by bike? It doesn't seem very far from the cruise port, and the website says you can tour by car or bike.

Deck 7 has already been remodeled, so it was brand new when we were in it the 1st week of Dec. We got an upgrade from a balcony for $270 total. $1400 sounds pretty steep (it would have cost less than that to book it from the start, if your cost would be $1400 on top of the balcony price I would say that's much more than I would pay). We did love it though...there were 3 of us and we had empty cabinets and drawers, there was so much storage space. The balcony was longer than a regular one ( there were 2 windows and a door in the room). Our friends were next door and we opened them up and it was like a bowling alley! There's a video on YouTube of the room our friends stayed in that someone took right after the remodel...search Carnival Triumph Ocean Suite, it's about 2 minutes long and gives a good view of it.

We were unable to use magnets on the walls of our Ocean Suite on Deck 7 a couple of weeks ago. We didn't try on the door, so can't comment on that.

Thanks SO much for this info! I am staying at that same hotel before my cruise in December. Glad to hear I made a good choice!

I got the same e-mail! I just booked an excursion 2 weeks ago, so I cancelled and rebooked it today. Waiting to see if the 10% goes on my account, it said it would take a couple of days to show up.

I have found it on the conch graveyard beach and also the beach just at the port area, between the ship and Jack's.
-
We have used the hammock type floats without a problem. If there is only 1 ship in port the pool shouldn't be that crowded.
-
You can also enter your gift cards at the kiosk, so no waiting in line at GS. That is what I usually do. :)

I really enjoyed Malcom on the Splendor. He was very funny and personable. Quest was an absolute riot.

We had no problem with it in April...got our buzzer and went and sat at Alchemy and had a drink and a bite from the Taste Bar. It worked out great. We were able to get the same wait staff each night also.

You don't find out the night of the Chef's Table until you are on board the ship. I think we got a note the 1st full day. The menu has changed since I did it (November 2014 on the Splendor). It was a great experience and totally worth it. Make sure you go very hungry!!! :)

It also works on the $5 day Social Media plan. :)

we had 2310 and 2314 and the steward said he only was allowed to open the divider for us and he did! for a wonderfully huge balcony :)
We just booked those exact rooms for November 2016 after getting kicked off the Breeze! :)

yes, I have noticed this as well. I thought they emptied the pool each night and refilled it. Or is that not the case anymore?
They start off clean in the morning. :)

By the end of the day the pool on every ship I have been on has been gross...a nice film on top...I contribute it to a bunch of people wearing sunscreen in a small pool.

If I hadn't known the Victory just had a dry dock, I would not have known. There were some parts of the ship that seemed worn, but everything was clean. It didn't bother me at all though.
I missed the Guy's burgers, but there was plenty to eat. The Chopsticks on Lido was really good.
Sorry, didn't go to the dance club at all, but the comedy club was packed every night! :)
All in all it is a great ship and I had a wonderful cruise.

I was on the 5 day that left May 11 and had a great time. Like the post above...if you have any specific questions, fire away! :)
-
A couple of questions please. Who was your cruise director? How were they?
And did they do movies under the stars? Also was there a tea time? Thanks:)
I don't remember the CD's name but he called himself "Donkey" He wasn't bad. Pretty funny and not very obtrusive. The ACD was a little annoying saying "shimmer" all the time.
They did have movies every night on the big screen. The ones I remember are Mocking Jay, Night at the Museum (the new one), Guardians of the Galaxy...they had them every night though.
I just checked the Fun Times and they did have tea time on both sea days at 3.
I sailed May 11th, so that's when this info is from. :)

We had 3 afts on 7 last week and loved them (7431, 7433, 7430). No noise from above or below at all since there is only other staterooms. :)

I was on the Sunshine 3 weeks ago and they did NOT have the Fun Hub. Maybe they do now, but not then. We did the $25 Social Media plan and it worked out great for keeping in touch. We used the Instant Messenger and if you have iPhones you can also use iMessage. You may have also been able to use What's App with it but not sure since we don't use that one.

No fridge in the aft balconies on 7.

I loved the Tandoori on the Splendor, I ate there many days for lunch. Each day there were different items and they were all superb. :D
-
Yep, I'm on the May 11th sailing and they switched our ports around. I loved the times before - not so much anymore. But, I'll make do :)
When did they do this? I booked at Christmas and haven't noticed a change...maybe it was before then or I am missing something! lol
