I requested the refund option from Princess for an April cancelled cruise and after being VERY patient I called and was told that they saw option 1 on my request!

NOT true

I very deliberately picked the refund with 50% FCC

Did this happen to anyone else?

I was referring to Vegas on the whole- not just the buffets.

(And yes - I’m sure that there are some disgusting practices in those nice restaurants that would be unsettling to know about😝)

Before the cruise lines cut Mazatlan out of their route we used to go to the golden zone and hotel hop- usually starting at the El CID -using the pools and buying beer, margaritas and guacamole along the way.

Has anyone done that recently?

Just wondering if the resorts are still letting cruise pax do that.

Yes we are, and we can't wait. I've been following several threads before and after ours to get ideas. I wanted to do a slot pull, and since no one offered, I decided to host it. Have a great cruise.

I just sent you an email. Jack & I did the golden about 3 years ago and had a blast! That casino was very generous to me too- I hit 2 aces with a kicker in video poker (@$500) And another 500 on a wheel of fortune!

Research your ports ahead of time, and reserve private excursions. Never take a ship's excursion -- the financial savings are nice, but the real perk is the smaller groups. :(

 

Never say "never"- I've got an upcoming excursion on RC where I pay $49. for an entire day (7 1/2 hours!!!) snorkeling from a catamaran WITH drinks AND food! You can't beat that with a STICK!!! There ARE very reasonable excursions available and you can't beat the peace of mind of knowing that the ship will NEVER leave without you if an issue arrises. (otherwise Mrs. Pete- great review!) Generally speaking: Let that inner child out!! Have that dessert, that exotic martini, sleep in, fudge on going to the gym, dance all night if you want to and don't worry about only getting 4 hours sleep before that port day. Yes pictures are expensive, but I always say that you only pay for them once, and I can look at them and show them off till I die! Have FUN!!!:D
