I am from Germany, but I know how tipping works in the USA. We always tip 1 USD per drink.

Tipping is very different in Europe/Germany. Say your bill is 47 EUR(USD) in Germany, you will tip maybe 3 EUR to round it up. Cause tipps are already included in our prices. So additional tips in Germany are about 5-8%.

Is it possible to combine 2 Diamond vouchers in one account (2x29,95=59,90) and spend it on 1 device week pass?

Why should I pay for 2 devices using the bandwith for one device only? So nobody gets cut off bandwith. But thats only my opinion...

We are on baord. Panama Canal Cruise, third day. We have a loss of electricity. Not moving at the moment. Hope they will fix it soon.

Here in Germany you pay about USD 8,00 for Cocktails (not simple mixed drinks, eg Gin Tonic is cheaper) and USD 3,50 for a bottled beer in a bar. TAX and TIPP included! The new prices on RCCL ships makes me thinking twice of ordering cocktails. I remember getting a Tequila Sunrise for USD 5,50 plus gratuity at the Poolbar about 2 years ago.

anybody knowing how this is handeled?

For example a not married couple in a stateroom, woman is diamond and man is emerald. Does man get diamond for this cruise, too?

If you connect with Cellular at sea, you will always have the ships network over satellite.

In 2013 on AotS I was able to catch regular landmark service (AT&T) miles before Puerto Rico, still cruising to port. So I hope it will be the same in Hawaii. If we are near enough, this should be possible. Maybe anyone knows.

We are cruising with RotS now.

I think if you put your device on manual selection, it won't connect to the ships network automatically. So if there is a land tower available it could work...

Last year, a few miles away from Puerto Rico, I got the signal from a landmark tower. But I do not know how far this signal reaches. Maybe we are lucky between the Hawaiin islands.

we are wondering for weeks, so here is our question:

Does anybody know if there is mobile service from land availabale during our cruise near the Hawaiian Islands? So instead of using the ship network, is it possible to connect with the "regular" network? Anybody tried before?
