I was booked on the 26/4/20 cruise which was cancelled. I received a refund of my deposit, as I requested, on 13/5/20. That is not bad. In fact considering all that is going on, it is excellent!
I am now wondering what to do about a cruise booked for 28th August.

I received an email in response to my posting on May 7 from a passenger on your cruise.
He gave me a phone number in Florida and asked me to call him which I did. He told me he
had received $1000 refund. Perhaps he complained to VTA.
If you email me at schwartz@udel.edu, I will give you his contact details.
Thank you for taking the trouble to reply. I will pm you for those contact details as I am curious to know what is happening.

Rog's suggest is a good one. $300 rebate for an aborted cruise is quite inadequate and is much less than preceding cruise (total refund) and immediately following cruise ($1000 I have been told, even though all ports we're visited, albeit slowly). I will contact VTA, and, in the absence of a satisfactory or no reply, ask my credit card for a refund. I suggest all of us do the same. And keep us posted.
I was on the following cruise, Athens to Athens finishing on 6th May. I have not heard anything about any refund. Are you sure your information is correct?

We have travelled with voyages to Antiquity on a number ofdifferent cruises and they are our favourite cruise line. Yes the ship is oldand things do not always work perfectly but the benefits of a small group andinteresting passengers along with excellent included excursions outweigh thedisadvantages. It is not for everyone but those who enjoy it like it very much.

Anyone else going on this trip to Iceland?
Azamara refund problems (merged)
in Azamara
Posted
I applied for refunds for the two cruises I had booked this year. One was through a German on-line TA and the second through Azamara direct booking. One was in April and the second was to have been in August.
I have received the refunds in full back to my credit card from Celebrity/Azamara without fuss or phonecalls or email.
Not wishing to crow or make little of anyone else's experience but just saying that I am guessing that there are probably many passengers who have had their refunds without hassle from Azamara. The ones - naturally - we tend to hear about are the ones who have had problems.
