We have been to all of these beaches and always felt safe. There have been a few vendors at each but a polite no thank you has always worked. Each beach has a restaurant and chairs and umbrellas for rent. All of the taxis we have used have always returned to pick us up. We have prebooked rides when we wanted to beach hop to more than one beach but if just going to a single beach we have always just caught a taxi at the port.
Were you able to rent chairs and an umbrella? How much did they cost? TY!

Anyone know if there’s a place on the app that shows the MDR lunch menu?
Yes, go to Dinning
Click on "Explore Dinning Options"
Click on "Concerto Dinning Room"
The menu will be in the upper right hand corner

They'll have a show listed for certain nights in the Patter. It's underwhelming...everyone agrees it's a waste of space. Later versions of the Royal Class ships had it removed!

I appreciate all the useful information you are providing here. Very helpful.
To purchase train tickets online, I have to pick a specific time.
Would you say getting off the ship as soon as it docks is possible/not a problem?
It shouldn’t be a problem getting them at the train station. It’s €5 each way from the port into Dublin. They have several automated machines, so it should be quick. The train runs every 15 minutes.

I apologize if this has been asked already, but I'm wondering about people who take world cruise segments rather than the entire cruise. Are they treated as second-class citizens by the "full" WC cruisers or even by the crew? I'm asking because, due to time constraints and financial reasons, I'd never do an entire WC, but a 20 to 30 day segment might interest me.
Thanks.
My Dad and sister were on the Panama Canal segment of the WC in January. They had a great time, met many of the WC cruisers, and many who were not. The only difference they saw was that part of the sanctuary was reserved strictly for the folks on the WC, so it was tougher to get a spot.

It has been a minute since I last cruised and I have a few questions. If it is pertinent to any of my questions, I’ll be on the Sky Princess 14-day Iceland & Norway Cruise in June 2023.
PRE-CRUISE RESERVATIONS: It appears I can only use my OBC to reserve excursions and NOT spa services. That is the policy...I know, I agree, it doesn't make me happy either....
THERMAL SUITE: How busy is the Thermal Suite on Sky Princess? It looks like I can only purchase a 14-day cruise pass. Yes, you can only pre-purchase as a full cruise pass. I haven't used it before, so I cannot comment on whether or not it is busy.
CASINO: When is the casino open? Closed in port and generally opens an hour or so after leaving port. Depends on the port how far out you have to be to open
WIFI: It's only available in a full cruise package, no packages for days or minutes.
Hope this helps!

We are also on the world cruise. The food in the dining room seems better than our November cruise on Enchanted. But the specialty restaurants have been disappointing. The steak house is part of the Cajun restaurant and the steak was really good but the few sides were all Cajun with no substitutes. The Italian restaurant last night was disappointing too. Service was good, but the food wasn’t. We walked out during the main course. To their credit, the manager tracked us down in the wheelhouse bar and took the specialty charge off our bill.
the Irish couple singing in the wheelhouse bar are awesome. The line dance classes have been awesome and trivia is where Princess excels. Our cabin is great too. All help is friendly and helpful.
we love Cole and Angela, the entertainment staff. My recycled watch band / medallion holder broke while we were riding motorcycles in Kauai and the lady replaced it for free. The dealers in the casino are friendly although they take my money. Casino isn’t busy at all.
Angela is one of my favorite people ever! She's amazing! Tell her I said hello!

Princess always docks at Havensight

We always use Park N Go on Eller Drive. Reasonable price and close to the port! I've never not had the shuttle waiting when we got off of the ship. Very convenient.

My mother and I have cruised three times since the restart (Enchanted twice and Caribbean once). We both have iPhones and iPads. Used them extensively and never had any issues with mail, iMessage or FaceTime.

Did you meant carrying cans/bottles of soda or giving it to the porters?
I love bottles so I can reseal them for a drink later.
We gave 12 packs of cans to the porters. I was aware they didn't want bottles brought on so we only brought cans!

Did this in both December and February when boarding the Enchanted without a problem!

Thank you SO much! We sail on Enchanted next week and can't wait!
Do you know what time they started boarding?
Many thanks for your thread!

Does anyone have a recommendation on a Catamaran/Snorkel Excursion? Will be our first time in Curacao and we are looking to snorkel.
Thanks so much!
-
I did this excursion (through Princess) several years ago. The catamaran doesn't dock on or near the beach. When we went, the only way to get to the beach was to swim. The water was deep where we anchored, so you wouldn't be able to walk. Please note, this was a couple of years ago. I don't know if the excursion has changed or not. I believe the vendor that the cruise lines use is Castaway Girl.

We are disembarking the Vision of the Seas at the Pan American Pier on Saturday 2/29. Celebrity Summit will also be in port.
How difficult will it be to get a Taxi or Uber to take us to Old San Juan for a few hours. Our flights aren't until after 3:00. There are three of us. We'd like to store our luggage at Barrachina and tour Old San Juan for a bit.
Thank you!

We will be sailing the Vision next month out of San Juan. Just wondering if anyone knows what time they start boarding?
Thanks so much!

Looking forward to your blog. I had to cancel TA on the Sky . Hope you have a great cruise. I love Barcelona. The HOHO bus is one of the best ways to see the city. There are also several free walking tours.
Oh gosh I'm so sorry!!! It's always terrible to have to cancel a cruise! Thanks so much for following along!
