  1. That's just the amount of little sunscreen I have. I'll have a larger tube as well. The sink stopper came in a laundry kit. The variations of motion sickness cures are because I have no idea if we'll get seasick and, if we do, what remedy will actually help. The toilet paper is just this little roll, like an inch around, that's from my camping gear. Just saw it recommended somewhere and since it weighs nothing and takes up hardly any space, I threw it in. But maybe it's overkill lol! Thanks for the feedback.

hi bb sorry for your loss, but in reference to sea sickness don't wait to use remedies to cure, just get a patch or bracelet to wear before you leave on cruise, you wont feel a thing, have a great time

  2. I was just wondering if I could get your ideas for things you put in a gift bag for your room stewards. Thank you!

as said before Cash is Grand, we also take tootsie pops, and our local candy dewars chews, during the cruise and we leave then in a glass throughout the cruise, but how can you not love cash :)

  3. Are you ready for gigabytes and gigabytes of footage? Are you ready to spend more time editing your footage than you spent recording it? Is your computer ready to handle that editing? If you didn't say yes to all three, you should question your intentions before clicking the Buy button.

this is good info i did not do my homework :( used my silver 4 for the first time this last cruise, still editing lol, but on the other hand great for snorkeling, diving, so easy to handle. still glad i got one

  4. Yes I have booked with another line

I didn't get the Wow factor from Brilliance couldn't put my finger on it

Perhaps just poor dinner companions or just to many Ports and not enough time

but I am off on the ROYAL Princess next year to taste the opposition as I have always been loyal to Royal

    I hope I won't be disappointed

you are not alone we have booked the ruby princess in nov since royal no longer does the mexican west coast and all my souvineer t-shirts are torn need new ones : ) so princess it is . hey but its a cruise. have a great time :D

  5. I'm not sure I call someone with asthma being over sensitive. It doesn't take very long before I get severe headaches and have breathing issues when around smoke. So while you might not mind it on your balcony, I would.

most smokers when able to smoke on balcony do it while @ sea therefore smoke does not stay in balcony ( windy eh ) and as i always say why is it that you think that you are more important then me. i coud probably bet my paycheck that on any cruise me the smoker spends 4 times the money then a non smoker on casino, drinks, tips etc. in my most humble opinion i will now get off my box and watch the fun:p

  6. After that light snack, I decided to treat myself to something good for once. Deep-fried Oreos seemed like something that could hold me over until dinner time.

On Thursday I hit the Jackson Hole Diner for a small tossed salad with grilled chicken, spinach and light fat free dressing. No wait, I mean a 7 oz. bacon mushroom swiss burger. The waiter asked if I would like fries with that. I laughed him off and said "Fries? Ha, umm, no thanks. That stuff is loaded with saturated fat".

Notice how I wasted no time pushing that small vat of cole slaw off my plate.

  7. Hello All!

I have JS 1100 booked on the Radiance for next month. I can upgrade to an Owners Suite - 1062 - in particular and wondered if we were crazy to give up the amazing aft balcony we have - for the bigger OS cabin.

This is my for my hubby's 40th birthday' date=' so I want him to have the best trip. We see photos of the OS, but can't see any of the balcony, and would hate to be squished out there.

We don't care so much about the lounge/drinks/etc...as we have kids and drink packages. Mainly, we want a great cabin and a nice balcony to enjoy the Alaskan surroundings.

we have sailed 4 times in cabin 1100 biggest balcony on the ship usually first cabin sold. great views, impo i would keep this cabin. have a great trip

Yup, the buffets are probably the biggest transmission vector for Norwalk virus for sure! Maybe hidden cameras and the public shaming at MUTS is the answer? true about the buffet, but i always wonder why they never shut down the casino or the gym ?????? chips, money, weights, towels just a thought. have been thru a few of these myself never fun, always funny when they serve at the buffet 2 pieces of bacon i look at them (i'm a big guy) and say does it look like i et 2 pieces of bacon then we laugh everyone always in good spirits even though they have to work extra hard

  9. Love reading member reviews- one of my favorite past times even when I don't have an imminent cruise planned.........Sometimes I can hardly stand it when I read over the cruisers port list and see " stayed on ship" , or "got off for free wifi on the pier".

Now I don't mean in ports such as Nassau, where folks have been tons of times- but magical places like Dominica and Saint Lucia! It makes me sad

So it made me wonder- how many mainly cruise for the experience of the ship and/or the ports themselves? All our cruises so far have been chosen with ports in mind- next years Oasis cruise will be more about the ship itself. Would love to hear others opinions❤️

the dw and myself deffinately love the sea days, the ports are 2nd on the list the ship is our destination. unless friends or somone on the trip has given insight something special to see or do then we'll go do it

  10. We are 17 days from cruising and my husband just broke his ankle.:(:(

Any suggestions on how to make this trip a little easier? He is on crutches, with a cast up to his knee and cannot put any weight on his ankle.

Cancellation is not a option, we are cruising with my best friend and her 3 children.

My main concern is showering, he cannot get his cast wet and cannot put any weight on it. I have emailed special needs to see if they have a shower chair that we could use.

Other than that I am just STRESSED OUT!!

sorry to hear, as for the shower i would head to the gym showers alot bigger then the rooms. good luck on the bar bill:)

  11. Hold on a sec...the OP said over 500 people have been stricken on Liberty with Noro and yet you've not received any official/written notice from the ship staff?? There were reports here when the Noro outbreak recently spread on the Sunshine, fewer than 200 were hit and passengers received written notices in their cabins with advice and cautions to help avoid it, yet over 500 impacted on Liberty and no ship wide notice? What gives on that?

    april fools ???????

  12. I hope that RCI reads this thread......

In Australia and New Zealand we don't have the problem of over-crowding in the DL and CL. We haven't had the benefit of the Royal ships for as long as the US and cruising has only become really popular in the last few years. The statistics are rising but there are not as many diamond and above C&A members here in Australia. Royal only comes here for half of the year - Carnival and P&O have a few ships all year round so RCI is missing out and they are becoming very popular. When they first arrived in I think 2008 they couldn't fill the ships.

SO, changing the C&A levels worldwide would create unnecessary negative press for RCI. On a recent cruise on Explorer there were 800 C&A members out of the 3200 passengers and only a handful were above Diamond level, of which 1 was pinnacle.

Suite guests and diamond and above C&A members were given access to both lounges, mainly because the CL is on deck 9 in the middle of nowhere with NO windows and very daggy furniture despite Explorer's recent $100m revitalisation.

itotally agree my dw and i have done the hawaii to sydney cruise 4 times doing it again this sept :) and hardly anyone in the cl one cruise they even invited us to the capts table :O (had to decline did not have a tux. could not disrepect the capt) which by the way was capt. klaus (anthem ots) now yikes great capt. anyway got sidetracked. so if you want the perks with no crowds come on downunder.
