We had a great cruise and BB utilised the smoking areas as infrequently as possible, we are trying to persuade him to give up! All the best, Lin.:)

Off to Norwegian Fjords on Saturday on Caribbean Princess. When I booked this cruise, smoking was allowed on balconies, so I thought my brother could puff away happily without any problems. Now I have a problem as my brother is quite a bit older than me and not super-mobile, due to arthritis, (SIL has same problem). Their cabin in on Riviera deck, forward. How far will BB (big brother) have to go for the closest smoking area? I would be very grateful if someone can let me know - thanks.

We have been to Alaska twice and it is absolutely breathtaking! We travelled both times at the end of the season in September and most of the tourist traps have closed by then. Take the local bus to the Mendenhall glacier and you can walk almost right up to it, if you are fit enough for a walk on uneven ground. Glacier Bay is one of the most amazing sights we have ever seen and you will pass by icebergs and see seals floating on ice floes. If you are lucky enough to see a glacier 'calve' you will never forget the experience. Alaska was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip but we loved it so much that we went again after 2 years, taking 2 family members with us, who also fell in love with it and we are already discussing trip number three!
