  1. Not sure you should use an acronym and then write it out...:)

It is possible to get an unopened beer. I believe that it is against policy, but some bartenders have asked if I wanted a beer opened or not.

Thanks! We will just hope dh gets like minded bar tenders!😏

  2. Is it possible to get an unopened bottle of beer at a bar to take back to cabin with the AIBP?? (all inclusive beverage package)

I suggested to dh that since we had the AIBP comped on our next cruise, we should trade mini bar set up for coffee cards for a later cruise. He wanted to be sure he could still have beer in the room refrigerator, to take out on balcony--without having to go get at a bar and bring back.

    Thanks.

  3. Do any of you recent Coral cruisers know if mini suite D335 if covered? We have been offered upgrade from covered balcony on Caribe, and I will not take if D335 is not covered, as this is for a partial PC transit. I know we will appreciate shaded balcony on this one! Thanks for any help.

  4. Bob, I just read your entire trip report. We just returned home on Oct. 12, after our bucket list 34 day trip to AK, Voyage of Glaciers cruise, then a b2b with 22 day repositioning from Vancouver to FLL on the Coral Princess.

It was wonderful to have your TA to enjoy reading about, as we are excited to be taking the one with you all next year, and joined that roll call before we left for Alaska. Thank you so much for taking the time to write all your posts about your wonderful trip. It has chased away any post cruise doldrums we may have suffered!!

Looking forward to getting caught up on our roll call....

    Frances

  5. Our first ever cruise was on the Norwegian Caribbean Line's Skyward in 1973, a combination late wedding trip and dh's med school graduation. Next was in 1991, when we took daughters on Big Red Boat to celebrate dh's return from Saudi Arabia and Desert Strorm. Finally--our 1st Princess cruise was in April, 1993, on the original Crown Princess to western Caribbean, for our 20th anniversary. We'll be taking our 10th PCL cruise in May--love them, and we do "escape completely" while on the ships....:)

  6. The cruise is 7 nights. Sorry no pricing or information on the sampler cruise in the brochure.

Thanks for the info re 7 days. No worries about Sampler cruise price--I'll just need to be patient till the 11th. Now if patience was only a virtue I possessed.....;)

  7. Wednesday 6 May: Vancouver, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, Vancouver (quote)

Thank you. How many days is that cruise? And what is the cost of that 4 day on the Coral from 5/2 - 5/6?

Do appreciate this information, as hoping to be able to book it/them on the 11th, to follow up on the repositioning cruise. :)

  8. 2-May-15 Sat CORAL 6513 4

    Alaska Sampler VANCOUVER, Ketchikan, VANCOUVER

What follows this 4 day cruise for the Coral during May,'15? And which, if any, Princess ship doing the round trips from Seattle in May,'15?

    Thank you very much....

  9. We are sailing on the Crown Princess on Jan.4th. We had a shuttle reservation for transfer from hotel to port at 10:30a.m., but I got a phone call at home this morning from shuttle company. I was told that they have been told by port authorities to not bring anyone to the port before 12:00p.m., as it is "high season" with masses of people cruising during January. Port authorities want disembarking passengers gone before arriving passengers enter the port. I was told there are 9 ships in port on Jan.4th, and massive traffic is expected. This certainly seems to go along with the request from Princess for staggered boarding, which we also received recently.

  10. Yes. We were on 14 day Golden to Hawaii this past April. Dh and I both received every thing we wrote in on breakfast card menu, from smoked salmon to eggs and bacon. We were not in a full suite, and did tip nicely with each delivery by the delightful smiling room service staff. Enjoy!!

  11. It was so fun to hear the ship's horn play first two lines of "Loveboat" theme as she entered the channel!! :) Wish all Princess ships would once again do same--as the theme used to be played "back in the day" as my daughter says!! (Or they did on the original Crown Princess in 1993, at any rate.):D

  12. Dh and I were in c227 on our Alaska cruisetour' date=' Sept. 2009, and in c230 on the Panama Canal partial transit, Nov/Dec. 2011. Love the minis in that location, used the covered balcony a lot on both cruises. You picked a great location!! Enjoy!![/quote']

Oops--both minis were on the Island Princess--our favorite Princess ship! :)

  13. Dh and I were in c227 on our Alaska cruisetour, Sept. 2009, and in c230 on the Panama Canal partial transit, Nov/Dec. 2011. Love the minis in that location, used the covered balcony a lot on both cruises. You picked a great location!! Enjoy!!

  14. We were on the Caribbean Princess (balcony,'08),Island Princess (mini-suite,'09),and Ruby Princess (balcony,'10), and I received eggs, sausage & toast for breakfast, occasionally, per room service on all three ships. We used the room service breakfast card but would write in our desired selections, and always received them at requested times, and always tipped for the great service. :) My dh had his daily (seriously) cruise breakfast of smoked salmon, bagel, cream cheese, capers, etc. delivered, also. :p
