  1. I'm about to go on my 3rd cruise on Holland. One cruise was a week, one was 10 days and this one is going to be a week. I've sailed Norwegian 2 times (1 9 day cruise, 1 transatlantic) and a 5 day cruise on Carnival (last minute whim). I'm 38 (fit, active, etc), my sweetie is 48 and we started cruising 5 years ago which makes me young for this vacation hobby.

I like Holland because I think they provide value for price. It depends on what you are looking for. I'm not a party girl, and I was turned off with Carnival (even tho it better fit my demographic). I've met some really lovely ppl on Norwegian and Holland, but look at my cruises - a bit less traditional itineraries. I think that's what you are ultimately looking for - slightly longer cruises (more than 7 days) change the demos away from families to people who are more geared to casual relaxation. Holland has some really lovely itineraries that I hope to one day have the money and time to be able to do. Anyway, not just for the old, in my (youngish) opinion. I don't really need a bowling alley or rock climbing wall. I can get those on land everywhere.
