We used execucar last few years and will use them again.
Thank you! We have never cruised out of Galveston, so this information helps add one more piece to the planning puzzle. :)

I like cruising out of Galveston , that one and only bridge could be a concern if you cutting it close to get to or off the island. Glad we were in a pre-paid town car and driver had a good sense of humor, he did get a good tip.
Can you give advice as to reliable town car transportation from Houston to Galveston?

Depending on where I was sitting in the Viking Crown Lounge on various ships (not just Freedom) I have noticed interesting variations in circular wave patterns occurring on the surface of the drinks. (Yes, this was before the first drink was finished:rolleyes:). I guessed that these were Lissajous curves set up by harmonics relating to ship propulsion. Rather than determine the appropriate parametric equations, I just got another drink and enjoyed more patterns.:p

It's still dark out and I'm only on my first cup of coffee, which has no interesting patterns on the surface, but you helped wake up my brain a bit. After reading your post, I went to straight to Wikipedia to find out about Lissajou curves. You just never know what new things you'll learn every day. I couldn't solve complicated mathmatical equations to save my life, but it is fun to know something my husband doesn't. And, it will be a cool term to throw around when I'm on the ship. :D

If I had to choose, I believe I'd stay with Deck 7. I can't remember which Royal Ship I was on where our cabin was on the deck below the pool. It wasn't terrible, but we did hear the sounds of the pool deck chairs being moved and stacked in the evening. Then, we heard it all over again early each morning.

Has anyone stayed in an AFT Jr. Suite #1406. I am so happy but have to wait 1 1/2 years to see it. Can anyone share info? Thank you so much! It will be my first Aft room!!!
We're staying in 1406 in September! I've been researching aft cabins and came up with these pictures.

Go to the bottom of the second page. They are of cabin 1706, but it is right next door to 1406.

Well, I typed a reply to post and hit one wrong key, and POOF it was gone. This one will be shorter, since I've lost my train of thought.
I'm loving your review, stories, and pics. Can't wait to see more!!
Thanks for the cabin pics. We've sailed the Oasis and Allure before, but on our July cruise we will be in a Boardwalk Balcony for the first time.
