Maybe I'm wrong but the sign at security at the terminal said no weapons or alcohol.

Looking forward to our first Europe cruise next year, the Baltic. Do they do Pirate night and the fireworks?
-
Will the characters dress according to the area the ship is in when doing the Baltics, Norway etc. next year? I remember in AK they did and they made for fun photos. Thx!
-
If you can take the tour called the Art of the Theme Show tour it's pretty good. I did it on the Fantasy and it points out cool things about the themeing/decor of the ship.

Awesome, thanks. My DDs will be 19 and 16 on our Baltics cruise next year and I'll have to figure out the spa arrangements. I couldn't remember if they added Chill to the Magic or not. I'm assuming it's the same "menu" as on the Dream & Fantasy.
-
A reservation is needed for Palo and I'm not sure if you can make that arrangement for the or not. You can certainly do a credit to their OBC and have a card left for them in their room. Or apply the OBC and let them know in advance of your gift so they can make the reservation. What a nice thing to do.

What are the age limits on the "new" Magic in the spa/salon? Did they include and area for teens?

We're doing May so we can still make our beach vac a in June :) I'm still so excited. I've wanted to do this since the last time DCL did it but we were new to cruising and didn't know how it'd all go over. Now to plan and budget!
-
We're going!!! Oh my, too excited.
-
congratus and enjoy. DCL is awesome. Gambee's reports are really super and while I remain a loyal DCL cruiser, I look forward to his next installment.

Thanks for the fun! I'm jealous of all who get to go, it's a bit pricey for me but I'll still have fun in the Eastern Caribbean next year!

Can anyone help me decide what would be best to try in St. Marrten; the experience scuba deal, snuba or a snorkeling adventure. Snorkeling kind of freaks me out as I don't like the feeling when I'm not breathing "normal". I can never figure out how to keep that snorkel thing from filling up with water too. It would be great to try while there, especially for my teens so any help or advice would be appreciated. Thx!

If you would want to do this, I'd say be a bit courteous and be mindful of blocking folks views.

If you fly into Orlando it's an hour or so drive, straight shot, on the B Line to Port C. You may want to add time because if there's any accidents or heavy traffic you can sit on it for a while. If you do a rental car from the airport to the port there are tolls along the way.

DCL is going to be out of the ballpark for me price wise to do their European stuff in 2015 so I'm thinking about the Allure of the Seas to the Med. sailing from Barcelona. I'm looking for info. on:
How are RCCL's pre-curise hotel choices & flight packages? Do their's or do my own?
I'm concerned about getting nickeled & dimmed on board between drinks, drink packages, speciality dinning etc., how do you manage that?
Concerned about crowd level on board, that's a lot of people on one ship, do you feel crowded on board such a big ship?
How's the spa pricing?
Anything else that would help a first time RCCL cruiser.
-
I think DCL will do a fine job for you as would most places as these types of issues are quite common these days.
-
Will someone explain to me in simple English the drinking systems on board the Allure…too many options…
Daughters will drink water, lemonade, milk & smoothies maybe juice at breakfast--what package should they get
Hubby & I will drink water, maybe some tea/coffee, beer, wine and maybe a cocktail
Dining--I guess you do the MDR or choose a up charge venue and pay the up charge fee per person eating there????
-
How old do you need to be to utilize the spa etc. on the Allure of the Seas? We're thinking about sailing on it and our girls will be 16 and 19 at the time.
-
In looking at the Allure of the Seas, or other RCCL ships, when it says room size is 182 sq.ft., then the balcony size are those independent or do you subtract the balcony size form the room's square footage?
-
Thanks, we've only done DCL in the past. I think they'll be doing the Baltics and maybe the Fjords in '15 but I have feeling they'll be priced too high for my budget. They pretty much hang together but I want to make sure they'll feel comfortable and have fun on board.
-
We're considering the Norwegian Fjords cruise next summer, or the Baltics, on RCCL. I see the two ships are the Legend of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas. Our daughters will be 16 and 19 at the time of sailing. Will there be other teens on board or are these mainly "adult" itineraries??
-
I'd like some info. on this ship. I'm debating sailing RCCL and this ship for the Norwegian Fjords next May. I've not yet sailed RCCL and am a bit concerned about this being an old ship that's been refurbished. Can anyone tell me a bit about the ship. Thanks.
-
I was looking at RCCL and they have several European itineraries out for 2015. You'd think DCL would get theirs out. It might be foolish for me to wait though as I sadly think DCL will just simply be way too expensive. I'll be jealous of all those who get to do it. I may have to settle for RCCL and being a loyal DCL cruiser I can't even believe I'm saying that.

Ok. Sticker shock. Looking at the pricing chart I'm guessing a cat. 5 is roughly $12,000 for the first 2 passengers or do I just not know how to read this chart. Help. This is my dream cruise but may not happen with DCL then
Is my onboard alcohol info correct?

Gee, sorry ex-techie.
We did successfully get our opened, in a plastic bag bottle into our suitcase which was then checked by the porters or whatever you call them outside and it arrived to our room just fine and we used it to toast the sail away.
