  1. We have always said that Carnival has the largest (standard) rooms available. The interior and ocean view are the same size. Ya know, I would even say that these 2 older ship's rooms are a little larger than the new ships, like the Breeze. RCCL is just a smidge smaller.

The Sensation and the Paradise are older ships, but we have enjoyed them both immensely, especially for shorter cruises. Easy to get around and the staff is Great.

Haven't heard anything about drydocking the Paradise.

  2. We are finally taking the plunge and are sailing the week of Christmas.

I would like to know everything. Is the ship all decorated? Are there special shows? Holiday music? Movies? Santa? Snow?

We will be at Little Stirrup Cay ON Christmas day. Wondering if they do anything special, seeing how it's a "Private" island.

So please, tell me, tell me. I can't wait, I'm like a kid waiting for ............well, CHRISTMAS!

  3. For as many cruises that we have been on, we have never been to any private islands.

I would like to know, other than endless beaches, do they offer anything else? We enjoy just hanging out, watching people and having a few drinks in the shade.

Are there areas like that? I understand Carnival provides the food and beverages.

Will we need cash for anything or is it all Sign & Sail?

We will also be there on Christmas Day. Wonder if this is where Santa relaxes after his long night working. :D

  4. I'm one of the lucky ones. I have 5, 2 are over 2yrs old and still sparkling and the other 3 are a little over a year old and they too are fine. I enjoy the "sale" they have and I do know it is costume jewelry, so when I paid $20 (or less), I didn't expect the crown jewels. I also agree that you want your purchase to last longer than 3 days. That would have ticked me off also.

NOW a friend who cruised with us bought 5 and she said 3 of them have fallen apart!

Maybe it depends on the "batch" that a ship gets from the manufacturer?

  5. So, why is it that we can't share names of our planners?

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Forums mobile app

    Yeah, why can't we?

I to am like you, EasyBreezy, I do all my research, figure out where I'm going, ship, room, everything. I'm basically an easy booking, but I do have a few questions and I like them answered immediately. Sometimes answers via email are kinda vague, I like human contact better.

What is the benefit of having your own PVP? Does the PVP handle the price drops for you? I think I'll give this PVP that was listed on my most recent emailing from Carnival a call. We're looking to go in February 2015. Let's see if he'll answer...........

  6. I think the boy should be congratulated for owning his mistake right away and getting the maintenance man. A lot of kids would go about their way and try to blame this on the ship.

I was just thinking the same thing. He could have closed the door and walked away. It was just one of those things that happens and can't believe you see it happening, especially to you. Bravo young man for getting the maintenance man.

  7. So I'm guessing.........Nathan is out of business and if by some chance they ever answer your email......DO NOT give them your CC#

You don't have to hit me over the head with a golf cart! NOPE not gonna do it!

Sounds like a lot of fun but.......not in a flaming cart!
