  1. We are leaving in 3 days and just received another itinerary. This could be a problem if anyone made onshore reservations as we are talking a totally new shifting of ports. With Florence heading to New England, I just hope the crew is more organized then their website in making changes in ports if needed. Not much confidence in them right now with all the confusing info.

  2. UK customers will be aware of the 'Upgrade beyond all expectations' Grills promotion running until October 1st on selected 2019 cruises: a P2 for the price of an A1 or a Q6 for the price of a P1.

The only possible downside is that your upgraded room could be in a less desirable location.

  3. Just a word of caution. The itinerary that is posted online is not the itinerary the ship uses. The website shows Provincetown as the first stop when it is actually Bar Harbor. Second stop is Camden instead of Newport. When I called, they had no explanation and were surprised the website was incorrect. The included tours are 6 for 11 days and two are in one port.

Cruise in October but a bit worried now.

  4. Cruising the Constellation in October

Received my docs and went on the website to look at the excursions offered. To my surprise, the website itinerary and the one sent to me are completely different! When I called, ACL said what I received from my TA was correct and the website was wrong.

If they can't post the correct itinerary on the internet from where you book the cruise, what else are they doing wrong? By the way all those "included" excursions number 6 on an 11 day cruise and two of them are in the same port.

This is our first small ship cruise after 80 or more ocean cruises; we paid as much daily as we do on a luxury line and are hoping our experience will be memorable in a good way.

  5. Interesting comments. We were on Equinox in Jan in Royal and were assigned late tags. We were worried as disembarkation was taking too long So finally asked if we couldn't leave on our own. Which we did with no help from Michaels.

  6. I don't want to point fingers at a specific ship. However, once shortly before noon, we waited 15 minutes and then left. All bars around were closed then. Another time it was around 3. My point is that someone should be there or there should be a bell or something to call someone.

  7. Wish they would be consistent. I asked about a Piña Colada and was told no. Never any breakfast items or cookies. We ate in Blu. Sounds like lots depends on the person in charge of the room. In fact we came down several times for drinks and the bartender was gone.

  8. What we missed in MC was the chance to have a frozen drink. Their drink menu is very limited. We never had any appetizers brought out and asked for nuts twice. Finally just went down and got a drink to take to dinner. Would much prefer flexibility to choose any bar. Why sit in a closed in room looking at each other so we could have a free drink?

  9. We did Carneval with X several years ago and it was amazing. We were taken to the venue around 8 or so and could stay all night if we wanted to. We stayed until about 5. Because of the confusion and the crowds I wouldn't try it on my own. A once in a lifetime experience..Judy

  10. Just came across Garin's book, "Devils on the Deep Blue Sea," which is on sale at Amazon for $6 and found out all the cruise industry's dirty secrets. The whole RCCL-Carnival feud for Princess is in there. Reads like fiction.
