We were given one each this year on Azura I used mine having my nails done they told me I could use oh if I wanted but I had to have a different treatment.

I used mine for a manicure and my OH used his for a men’s facial. He didn’t realise the facial normally cost £120, so he still had to pay £80, even with the voucher. Live and learn! 😄

  2. On our Aurora cruise back in May, I was delighted to find a £30 spa voucher in my cabin (one for me and one for my OH). Has anyone on subsequent cruises received spa vouchers? I live in hope that we’ll get the same treat on our next cruise in November! 😃

  3. Just booked the northern cities cruise on 10 November for an excellent price. It’s practically the same cruise we did on Aurora in December a couple of years ago. Yes, it was cold but definitely not miserable! Really looking forward to it 😃.

  4. I’ve just received my P&O Holiday Information in the post. In the section about Tipping, it says “Our Service Reward Programme adds a discretionary daily amount of £7.00 per day for each guest...”.

    But the website says:

For cruises departing after May 2019* tipping isn't required on board - good service, good value and good times are all part and parcel of your P&O Cruises holiday.

*For all cruises departing on or after cruise numbers A911,...”

So will I have something added to my bill or not??  Thanks for your help 😊

  5. One thing that used to bother me was not knowing if the price was currently a good price or a bad price regardless of it being a 'Select' or 'Saver' price. I now use a website called Cruiseville.co.uk who monitor the prices for all P&O cruises and it helps you decide if you are going to be one of the guys paying a lot or one of the guys paying a little. Hope this helps ;)

Thanks, I’ll check out that website :)

  6. I think you have to firstly work out what the true difference in price is, after you have deducted any extras such as free parking, and obc from the £500. Then you, and only you, can decide if the saving will outweigh the chance of being given a cabin that is less than ideal. For a short 7 day cruise,,it might be worth a gamble, but for longer than that, I, for one want to know exactly where my cabin is situated. Being woken up the first morning at 6 by the sun loungers being dragged about, directly above your cabin, is not a great way to start your cruise, and you may well rue the fact that you saved some money by booking an early saver fare.

Thanks, wowzz, this is very helpful :)

  7. i just wondered what other people’s experience has been booking early saver fares? The cruise I’m looking at would cost an extra £500 for us if we book Premium fare. I know we’d have to pay for parking and would lose some onboard credit. But we prefer self service dining, so table sizes and times wouldn’t bother us. I’m only really concerned about cabin location. Do you get assigned the cabins that nobody else wants??
