If it were possible, I would adopt Adrian Bica in a minute. He has been by far the best concierge we have had in 30 cruises. Met everyone of our needs and above. His ability to be everywhere and always in wonderful humur. Enjoy!

On immediate entering the atrium, we order our soda cards for the trip. We also make resevations for dinner the first night. Then get to our room to be sure the room steward is aware of our needs, sharp container, supply of cheese and fresh fruit for snack.
We also ask to have the refrig emptied to be able to us it for our family.

I loved the Family Suite, great views, easy access to the pool and all the other benefits of suite life. It was larger than most I have been in.

Is this a public area? Can we buy food and drinks? Is there any relief from the sun?
How long is this area? Do they have seating along the way? Do not need games of chance since I will spend plenty of time in the casinos.
I appreciate your info. Thank you.

Many travelers have referred to a "boardwalK"...your spending time in the Jersey Shore and my summers in Ortley Beach NJ....what do they mean? I am in a scooter and DD is in a wheelchair. I am looking for a place to walk/wheel along stores and quick snacks. We will enjoy the NJ practice off "people watching". What can you tell me. We will be in Aruba on May 1st and I know it is a holiday. Help!!!!

going out on April 27 wiith my family and PattoButter, Love the Dawn and have sailed on her many times. Enjoyed your review, especially your excursions. Sounds like you enjoyed yourselves. Watch out for that other couple.

Are we able to use our soda cards for a cold diet coke without a problem?
-
not sure about the bath map but a shower chair can be obtained from the staff easily.

We will be sailing on NCL and tendering scares the wits out of me. I understand they use the larger tenders of Grand Caymen. I'll report back.
-
We are sailing on April 26th and our first stop is Grand Caymen. We are hearing
on CC roll call that it is a tender port. They say that it is a large tender and I
am using a travelscoot, but will it be easier on a large tender...or is this going to
be another day on board? Anyone know?

A HUGE Welcome to the West Coast....We have been hungry for NCL over here.
very happy to see the offerings.

What about Hugo, is he still on as Hotel diector?

We will be in Aruba from 1 to 10pm on a cruise ship. We thought we would shop and walk or wheelchair/scooter on the "boardwalk" Being origanally from NJ, A boardwalk is something where we can people watch, walk/ride for a distance and shop.
What is there to a boardwalk in Aruba? and where is it?

We, personally, do not blame or get angry with the sixthman group or any music cruise that is booked as a Charter from the beginning. But to book as many people as they did and no indication for any of us that a Charter would be taking over, is inexcuseable...
we booked 21 days and looked forward to the ports that they advertised.
I feel like someone pulled the rug out from under us and it was NCL not the people who arranged the charter. We are loyal NCL cruisers with more than 21 NCL cruises on our list and feel quite shoved out the back door...
-
Like hell, we paid for a suite and we are entitled to Cagneys for breakfast and lunch.
Want it, pay for it like most of us...

We have had 30 plus cruises on NCL and booked a back to back for January and February 22 days on the Pearl. I have never heard of such unethical practices letting soooo many cruisers book knowing they were making other plans.
It has completely screwed up my schedule for vacation and I am more than angry. I am rethinking my cruise line of choice after many years. The CEO of NCL should take a look at the number of cruisers who are being affected by the "business decisions".
It is unbelievable that it was allowed to happen to many of us who have booked so long ago.
OK Kevin Sheehan...What are you going to do about this? Work behind the lines undercover and have it happen to you.

Has anyone found a way to make the footholders more comfortable or at least a bit larger for the longer days? It causes my legs to tire holding them on the holder.
Also the rubber covers on the holders slide off several times a full day.
This is in no way to be considered a serious problem,, just checking any way to make it more comfortable.

I also bring a marker and roll of tape to be able to stuff the laundry bag full. When you roll stuff, it really adds up.
-
The "bubbly" in the cabin when you arrive is just one. One box of chocolates. It is two meals with a bottle of wine at each and you each also get a free bag to send out laundry in.
We have had 3 bags of laundry each offering. DH, DD and Mysself are all platinum members. Be sure to label each bag for one of you.

I know this sounds crazy but is there anything sugarfree? Just diagnosed with diabitis and going nuts. Sailing on the Dawn in April for 12 days. This is going to be tough.
Any suggestions?

As for safety on the oceans, we were on board the NCl Dawn when she got hit with a "Rogue Wave". Quite a bit of damage and water problems which left us aware that some things can happen on a ship.
Safety on board??? I was gambling in the casino a few years ago and won a decent amount of money very late one night. I was alone in the casino and the ship was very quiet. As usual they made a loud fuss about the win and many gamers came over to wish me congrats. When I left to go to my room with the cash, I asked for an escort from security and felt better.
Always protect yourself and be aware of your surroundings...

Scooter left in the hallway, no matter what anyone has seen, makes it impossible for the rest of us in scooters or wheelchairs to get by. In an emergency, our safety is not thought of and it is definitely a selfish action.

We have book a repo from Tampa to Boston for 12 days and was wondering if many of you have travelled on these cruises. How friendly did you find the other fellow cruisers to be?
Was it too long? Does the food items on the menus change after 7 days or is it the same cycle of menus?
Please feel free to share....

Anyone know where Adrian Bica is? He was wonderful and I seem to miss him no matter when I sail? (I am sure he misses me too)
