  1. I just read through your entire review (insomnia has it's advantages;)). It is definitely one of the best reviews I have ever read! I loved your style of writing. I also loved that you included what you did post and pre cruise-very, very, informative! I'll be going on a Med. cruise next summer as a graduation present, good Lord willing, and all the info. was very helpful! I can't wait to read your next reviews. I have to check out your other reviews you've done. I'm sure I won't be disappointed!

Also, you seem like a great person to cruise with. You seem so positive and easy-going. You and Jackie also sound like my best and I...I'd be Jackie at the end of the cruise...

P.S. I can see why so many Italian guys were so fond of y'all! Southern girls are the best!;)

  2. Thanks, I keep trying to type in a Bahstun accent buht it is hard.

NCL allows guests 19-20 to buy and consume beer and wine on board if a parent has signed an authorization form. At age 18 you will still need to rely on Mom and Dad to supply your alcohol, unless you are sailing from an internationalPort where the drinking age is younger.

Thank you for your response! I didn't even think about different drinking ages depending on where you're sailing from. I'll be sailing from Spain and their drinking age is 18! :D:rolleyes::cool:

  3. Your review is awesome! I like that your review is actually funny, unlike many others who try so hard to be funny, but just aren't. Oh well! I keep reading it in a Boston accent too! I can't wait to read the rest!

Quick question: You mentioned that your kids could drink when they are 19. Where they limited on what they could drink, or could they drink anything? I'll be 18 when I sail next and I just want to know what I can expect. (My parents will sign off on any papers they need to.)

  4. Your review is definitely in my top 3 reviews I've ever read. I have tears in my eyes I'm crying and I don't often laugh from CC boards. At first I saw you didn't have alot of pictures, but I decided to check it out anyways and I am so glad I did. I love your writing style. It is written very eloquently with the perfect amount of humor. Comedy is all about timing and you have that down! I have only read 2 chapters, but they were hilarious and very informative! I can't wait to continue reading tomorrow.

  5. Go for it Mike! If someone has an issue with you going CO,heck with em! It's your vacation so you should enjoy it whether you choose to wear clothes or not. You're paying extra for a balcony so you should enjoy it to the fullest extent. In the morning if it's a bit chilly I'm sure a cup of coffee and a hat would be perfect.

I hope you enjoy your cruise. My Epic reivew is linked in my signature if you would like to check it out.

P.S. One thing I would like to see is how long you would last in the ice bar wearing a speedo. :p

  6. I'm loving your review so far! I love all the pictures! Keep them coming! I was really surprised with the decor of the ship. It's keeping the typical Carnival-esque feel while also feeling modern. I do wonder WHY IN THE HECK IS THE OUTLET PRACITCALLY ON THE CEILING????? Did that ever make things difficult? The Lido buffet seems to have an excelent layout. The Magic seems like an awesome ship. I can't wait to see pics from Croatia! My best friend is Croatian, so I will be showing her your pictures so she can be like "I've been there!". Haha

  7. I can't remember what cruise this happened on... but there was an older gentleman who spent a LOT of time looking for his wife. We saw him everywhere... wandering and calling out, "Miiiiiiiiiiiildred?!?" We know she existed because we did see them together. Now, whenever we get separated some place we call out.... Miiiiiiiiiiiiiildred!

*wipes Diet Doke off the screen*

OMG that is hilarious! ROFL!!!!! Old people on cruises are hilarious sometimes. I have noticed alot of them get so frazzled on vacation. It's vacation grandma. You need to settle down.

  8. Wow, I am the most boring cruiser - I don't have private piercings, I don't take trays of food, my behind is covered (for good reasons) no tattoos and don't upchuck on DH. I wonder why they let me board the ship:D

We need sane people like you can observe all the other "shocking moments" and report back to CC ;):D

  9. This thread has made my day. I have been laughing so hard from hearing all these crazy stories.

Here are a few that stick out in my mind.

1.) One time on the NCL Jewel my family and I were sitting by the pool. Then all of a sudden an elderly man in a white speedo came out of the pool. Needless to say, like a wet tee-shirt contest but MUCH MUCH worse, it became see-through...

2.) On the Valor, again by the pool, a girl about 11 or so decided she didn't want her strawberry cone anymore so she threw it off the ship. Strawberry ice cream splattered all over everyone. Her family left immediately, but didn't apologize to anyone.

I have to tell a few on myself from my first cruise when i was only 9 on the NCL Dawn.

1.) We were in the embarking line I saw an elderly woman with blue and green hair that I can still see 7 years later. I loudly told my dad, "Dad, is that old lady with the weird hair going to be on our cruise? I don't want to share a boat with her." (no exactly what i said, but close) She heard me...my dad was so embarresed and squeaked out a sorry.

2.) On the first night I was really sea sick in the MDR. My stepmom and dad told me to go back to the cabin assuming I could find my way back (great parenting guys;)) but turns out i couldn't. Anyways, after aimlessly walking around, I couldn't hold it in any longer. I puked all over the carpet in front of two cabins. It was EVERYWHERE-the doors, the carpet, the walls,me. I don't remember what happened after that. I'm soooo sorry if those where your cabins.

The "buffet line" story on the Norway made me ROFLMAO.

  10. Being a guy I have no problem with this bathroom. I find it extremely hilarious. I will be on the Epic in 4 months and will definitely make a special trip to use this bathroom. I have no idea why some men are getting so annoyed by this. Your back is to the window. In a normal restroom would you turn around with everything hanging out for everyone to see? I think not. People in normal restroom can't see what you're doing from behind, so does a ship bathroom change that? Last time I checked it doesn't. Some people take things to seriously. Have fun with life. I know when I use this bathroom, and I'm alone in there, I may moon the neighboring ship if I'm feeling extra devious.;)
