  1. It sounds like an exciting adventure! You are both lucky you can be away from your jobs, home, family, pets, etc for so many weeks! Safe travels! Looking forward to maybe meeting you both on the NCL cruise.

We never boarded our cruise to Rome, Italy would not give Deepak his visa, so all that went down the drain.

We are reapplying so we can do the rest of the planned trip.

Trouble is that they make it very hard for Indians to travel out of the country. For his visa, EVERYTHING has to be prepaid, hotels, air and cruises. I am nota happy camper with Italy.

  2. Our trip starts (I hope ) friday, the 14th, We fly from Mumbai to UAE for a couple of days before boarding Celebrity Constellation for 15 day cruise to Rome.

I am from Fl. while my boyfriend is from India.

We are getting him a visa to the US, so I am showing him around this area of the world. We sailed Celebrity this March from UAE to Singapore. That was his first time out of India, let alone his first time on a plane.

    Ron here and Deepak.

  3. Thom, are you aware that there is Tom from Chicago on our cruise ? His gaydar picked me up on the cruise roll call.

Actually, Deepak has never been to the other cities in India, he is from a small village outside of Kerlala, now in Mumbai.

We hope to do the house boat cruise there this spring, people who have done it have had nothing but good to say about it.

He is having a bit of a problem getting his visa for Sir Lanka, I keep telling him, we miss it, we miss it.

Will this be your first trip to India ?

Mine first was Feb. / March and fell in love with the country and people. Went back this past Nov. on the ticket. Now have a 10 year visa.

Post Singapore I will be staying with Deepak for about 9/ 10 months.

  4. I have never had a problem getting a container fro the room steward. I also carry my own bottle to store used needles, because most hotels don't offer a safe container.

A bit off track, but being Type 2, having a pacemaker, on warifin, and have a new knee, i had dog tags made that state those facts including the pacers make & model as well as the leads. Wear them all the time, you just never know when it could come in handy

  5. A quite a few of our gay friends have had rotten experiences with Al & Chuck and none would recommend them.

Yes, there are always cases of problems with every company, but have heard to many negative things about them, even with having the Florida office based here in Sarasota. ( Reminds me of an old saying, you don't screw your neighbors )

  6. cirman52, can you give us the name of the maitre d' ? We had Carlos last season and wonder if he is still aboard. Thanks[/QUOT

Sorry, but no clue who he was, only used the dinning room 1 time

  7. Can any of the US citizens who have done the P2P program tell me if Cuban immigration stamped your passport?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, our passports were stamp at the 1st port

  8. We did Cuba on Celestial on 1/1/16 with AquaFest, 264 LGBT on that ship & had a ball.

Ship's food is just soso, but crew was good.

Ports were great, we did get away on our own for the 2nd day in Havana and loved the city. The whole Island is a place that time forgot.

BE CAREFULL. 3 of our small group of locals ( 10 in all ) got sick starting with the last night on ship. My hubby went to the hospital on tuesday with a high fever & total weakness and is still ther. And no, we ate / drank nothing in Cuba, did eat / drink in Jamaica before flight home.
