Orig booked two verandah cabins on Noordam northbound Vancouver to Seward on 9/4. Got bumped up to SZ Gty during a recent sale. Ended up getting two mid ship SY cabins right next to each other on Navigation deck.

To take advantage of the Global Entry benefit in Vancouver, do we need to bring our actual Global Entry cards or do we need to provide our known traveler ID # in advance to HAL like we would with an airline? We board Sept 4!

There will be four of us on our upcoming Noordam cruise. Any issues getting a table for just four at the MDR?

Definitely no viewing rom for the bridge.

Since you are cruising in September, you may not get your cabin assignment until you get to the pier.

Even if you decide to buy an Internet package, HAL doesn't have any e-postcards that you can print out and send to people.

Just curious as I'll be on the Noordam in September as well - why would GTY cabins not be assigned until you get to the pier for cruises in Sept? I got bumped from a Verandah to a SZ GTY. I'm hoping to get assigned in advance, but I suppose it doesn't really matter.

My wife and I will be on Northbound HAL Noordam in September. We've never been to Alaska and will be with my parents who have done this cruise one before. I can't decide between Harv and Marv's whale watching excursion or a Helicopter glacier landing trip. Can I get some help from the friendly folks here? We can't do anything extremely active or rugged because of my parents, so a glacier climb would be out. A walk around should be fine though.

What is the cost of the lunch at Pinnacle? We'll be on the Noordam in September. Looks great!

We'll be on the Noordam in September and this thread is very helpful. Thanks! We are minimalistic packers and I'm glad I'll be able to get by without a tie and jacket while still respecting the code.

We are not allowed to name or discuss travel agents on Cruise Critic.

If you book through HAL (either direct number or one of their PCCs, the email is sent directly to you. If you book though ANY other TA, it goes to the TA and then the TA contacts you (either phone or email, depending). Some TAs are great at handling this, others seem not to want to be bothered, so your results could vary.

Thanks DaveOKC. Anyone have experience with paid upgrades through Costco Travel? They have been excellent to work with so far, but I wonder if they don't want to mess with upgrades like this.

Who calls when there is an upgrade available, HAL or the TA? We booked through Costco. Had two assigned Noordam Verandah cabins. Prices dropped and HAL upgraded us to SZ Guarantee. Wondering if we might get an upgrade offer closer to cruise date, or if we are knocked off list because of the upgrade due to fare decrease.

Four of us will be on the northbound Noordam departing Vancouver on 9/4. All four of us are US citizens with Global Entry Program. Will this help us at all getting through immigration at Canada Place before boarding our ship?
