  1. On Harmony in October, I just showed the staff at the desk a photo of me doing stand-up flow rider (from a previous cruise) and they gave me a blue band. I hate boogie boarding. Somehow I just don't get it. But I can stay upright and somewhat control a stand-up flowboard. I hope they don't make me boogie board on Freedom in April. I don't think I could pass any sort of test on a boogie board.

  2. Did something change recently on the Harmony? I could have sworn that all Oasis class ships have a pool in the Solarium.

Edited to add...I'm totally wrong. Harmony is the one ship where the Solarium does not have a pool. Only whirlpools.

  3. I requested a sharps container ahead of time for our first RCCL cruise last year. I received an email saying that the sharps container would be waiting in the stateroom upon my arrival. But alas, no. No sharps container for me. We were new to RCCL so it did not occur to me to just ask the room attendant. We ended up waiting in the Guest Services line on day 3 of our cruise. They supposedly added some notes and told us the sharps container would be delivered to the room. But we ended up having to ask the room attendant on day 4.

I didn't even bother asking for a sharps container on our 2nd cruise. I just adjusted my medication timing so that I wouldn't need a sharps container on that trip.

  4. Hubby and I cruised Oasis and Allure last year. We loved Vintages! I distinctly remember paying a la cart for the tapas. For our upcoming cruise on the Harmony we purchased the Unlimited Dining Plan. I was disappointed to see that the food at Vintages was not included. So I sent an email to Royal Caribbean. Here is their response:

Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delay in our response.

We are very sorry you are disappointed with the Unlimited Dining Package. We appreciate you taking the time to share your honest evaluation of this package and your desire to see Vintages added to the list of included venues. Please note that while beverages are at current menu prices, the food offered in Vintages is complementary.

So my question is, when did they switch to complementary food at Vintages? Or was this RCL employee misinformed? I would love it if the food there was complementary! But somehow, I think that might just be too good to be true.
